The University of Notre Dame looms large in the consciousness of many, in the Midwest in particular, but also beyond. This 172-year old institution of higher education, for better or for worse, is most famous for its collegiate football team, the Fighting Irish. Think Knute Rockne ("Let's win one for the Gipper") and the movie "Rudy" It is also a... More

When not a football weekend, one of the most peaceful places on earth. On football weekends, it has a great pulse of youthful excitement!

Beautiful grounds, well maintained, you can see the pride that is taken. Not sure if I get the East Coast Ivy League School feeling that many say is there. Even while wearing Michigan garb staff and other fans very friendly. We were there with friends (one of which was an Defensive All American at ND) so we had the chance... More

The University of Notre Dame is an intimate, serene backdrop to the fervor that goes on in UND's football stadium. I loved the uniformity in the color of brick used on all of the university buildings and the tree lined walking paths. Also, the alumni, faculty and staff were outgoing, friendly and helpful to fans of the visiting team on... More

Put on your walkin' shoes if you want to see the heart of the campus, driving is limited. The academic rating is high, even (and especially) for athletes. Bookstore is a fantastic place to visit and is a bit cheaper to get into than the football stadium on game day. Lovely campus--what you think of when you say halls of... More

Even if you don't have a student, register in advance to go for a tour. Amazing campus and mission that is worth hearing about.

This beautiful campus is a must see! From the greenery to the sports buildings, you can't miss touring Notre Dame! The bookstore is a must see for any souvenirs you need to buy, the grotto is a very spiritual place, and the Bascilla is a beautiful church. Make sure that Notre Dame is on your MUST SEE list!

It is a very pedestrian campus!!! Even then, there is much construction going on that you have to be aware of where is is. A nice campus, but all the buildings seem the same---made out of the same brick. It gets boring. The lakes, the Grotto, and the Bascilica of the Sacred Heart are wonderful!!!

One of the most beautiful campuses in the country. There is just a special feeling when walking around Notre Dame. Everyone is so friendly...even their squirrels!
