Wonderful little zoo tucked away away near the coast of Lake Michigan. The terraced landscape makes for some good excercise. Seemed like they were doing some renovations, which will only improve the zoo.

I didn't know what to expect from this little zoo. I was very impressed! You could get very close to each of the animals. My kids loved seeing the great creatures up close. For the river otters there is a glass tube the kids can sit in and watch the otters underwater (it was busy or dad would have tried... More

Great small zoo with interesting buildings and setting. The parakeet house was so much fun for my 8 year old. Also, Seeing white tigers is rare.

We went yesterday and there were some small deer looking animals in the same cage as some parrots who were pooping all over these poor deer while they just lay there covered in flies. The 2 tigers are in way too small of an enclosure and one of them lunged at the cage and made a terrible growl scaring us... More

This is a great place to take the family to see the different types of animals, and the fees you pay go to taking care of these wonderful creatures. I strongly suggest you take the kids for a fun afternoon.

Even though our kids are older we thought this was a cute zoo. We walked the whole thing in less than two hours but we enjoyed it. The lookout was very cool!

Good place to take your family or spouse or kids whatever, they have spot to look at and I love that you can feed the goats. And it doesn't cost much to get in

We visit the zoo a few times a year and I was amazed with all of the changes since October. There is construction going on, but the improvements look wonderful. The animals all look healthy and happy and the place is clean. Don't base your opinions on larger zoos, this is a small zoo on the rise and well worth... More

Small public zoo has very reasonable entrance fee. More extensive than it appears. Some hilly walking involved.

I grew up in Michigan City and have fond memories of visiting the Park & Zoo and seeing all the animals. I was totally shocked at how the Zoo has been let go; the few animals that are left - habitats were embarrassing to see and to show to my family. I cannot believe how things were just left laying...
