After seeing a billboard on the interstate, we thought it would be a good place to stretch our legs and check it out. The candy store was a dream. Lots of variety and the prices were reasonable. The only two drawbacks were that the factory tour was not available and there was only one restroom which needed a touch up.... More

If you like gummi anything, you will love this place! They also have many kinds of chocolates. Their Cajun Snack mix rocks! I want to drive there again just to go to this candy store. I can't wait to see what it will be like when they finish adding on!

Albanese Candy Factory is a don't miss if you like candy. The viewing windows were not open the day we went (Labor Day). But just looking at the myriad of candy and nut products took us nearly an hour. Free samples. This is the place to be for "Gummi" anything.

We stop by Albanese every time we are in the area. It is one of our favorite places. You are welcomed with a giant chocolate fountain & many eager associates ready to help you find your favorite new candy. You can sample almost anything. They have a HUGE selection of gummies, sour candies, sugar free candies & chocolates, truffles, milk... More

So glad I followed the Billboards to this place while I was Traveling to Chicago. It was a Gem. Loved being able to look out the Windows and Watch the Candy being made. Great Store with a Huge Variety of Candy to purchase. Some of the Prices are a bit high. But loved the place.

we stopped in here on our way home from a weekend trip and I will tell you this. They have almost any kind of candy you could ever want. Gummy Bears, Chocolate, sugar free. Way to much to choose from and they do tours. We didnt do the tour but it sounds fun.

This place is a little bit of Heaven on Earth. When you walk in there is a great smell of chocolate. Delicious! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The gummy bears are so fresh that you will never buy them elsewhere and they have some different flavors than found in stores. The chocolate is SO good. I highly recommend the... More

It's a real life Willy Wonka like candy factory/store. They have the best gummy bears around. If you even slightly like candy and are in the area you must stop. The Mango gummy bears are probably my favorite. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They will even let you sample the candy to help you decide what you... More

I have driven by a million times and seen them on Food Factory. It just so happened that two days before our trip I saw a bag of their gummy worms. Tried them and was instantly addicted. Very upset that we had never stopped before. Went on a Monday and it was crowded but so worth the stop. More gummy... More

We saw signs for Albanese Candy Factory as we were driving toward Chicago. When we decided to stop for the night in Merrillville, we decided to check it out. Our three children loved the variety of all the different candy as well as the multitude of gummy bear flavors. It was also interesting for them to be able to see... More
