Nice place. Love the layout for a show! We enjoyed a night away from home to visit this place. A little bit off the beaten path.

Front desk is very attentive and quick. Rooms are clean and the HVAC works great. Bar tender is terrific, but the food service is slow. conference center is very nice.

Comfortable seats lots of concessions for a concert/theater location. Bit slow checking in to the theater had only one attendant checking tickets

We went in November, 2013, to see America's Got Talent. The employees were nice and behaved in a professional manner. The establishment was clean. Parking was well directed. We had a nice time.

Although I attend a lot of rock concerts, I had never been to the Star Plaza Theater. I bought a VIP Elite ticket about a week before the show and was very happy with the amenities. The ticket was about $50 more than a regular ticket and well worth it. It included a seat in the first seven rows (I... More

This venue makes you feel special because it is posh! The seating is comfortable and it's attached to a Raddison Hotel with updated decorating and cool rock ledge indoor pool. A lot of headliner acts with an Irish pub style restaurant. Try the fish and chips for sure! I always booked my corporate people here when they came from Chicago... More

I love this place. I've been to probably half a dozen shows here over the years, and I have no complaints. The seats are comfy, the parking is free, and they have great acts. Bring your ear plugs, though. This place can be particularly loud, I've found.

A continual variety of national headliner acts in nearby Merrillville, Indiana, 40 miles south of Chicago without the Chicago hassle and parking woes. Connected, via a walkway too, to a Radisson Hotel, and nice restaurant too. Occasional diner and entertainment or dinner/entertainment/hotel packages.

This was my third time at a concert here. Very nice, but aged venue (very narrow outer walkways). Small enough to be close no matter where your seats are. The floor is similar to movie theatre seating - not flat, slightly slanted so you're not staring at the beehive hairdo or cowboy hat right in front of you!
