Enjoyed several hours out on the rugged trails. Note taking the rugged trails you will go thru mud, water, climb stairs and boulders. Suggest hiking boots. Take water or some liquid with you if going to be out for awhile. There is a park entrance fee to the park. Nice way to explore Indiana State Parks

Had fun walking the trails and stayed at the inn. Water was too high for canoeing but we got lots of use out of the pool. We will be back.

Every two years we have a HUGE family reunion at turkey run state park and we feel like we take over the park! Everyone is so accommodating and it's just a great time. Hiking is great...a personal favorite is going to the suspension bridge. There are several shelters for us to use for family meals. The pool is clean and... More

With 3 generations of family; youngest 5 months, 4 y.o., 7y.o., oldest 70s. Easy for everyone Morning: As a quieter introduction to the creeks and ravines of the park and nature preserve, we took trail 6 (next to the cabins and Inn). The water was clear, little waterfalls both ways along the creek, a pretty, photo-worthy bend in the creek... More

Turkey Run is about 70-80 west to Indianapolis between highway70 and 74, next to state road 47. It is a unique place for hiking because of variety of interesting trails, most of them moderate to rugged, from suspension bridge to deep canyon. Most trials are under big trees, excellent for summer hike to ovoid the hot sun. This is a... More

We reserved three campsites for three nights as a family get together. There is so much to do that you don't spend much time at the campground. In the park we took several hikes, went horseback riding and had breakfast and lunch at the Lodge buffet. We also went to a local go cart track, zipline and had planned to... More

we have young kids (5 & 8 years) and they loved climbing in the caverns. The trails described as "rugged" really are pretty rugged but the moderate trails are easily handled by young kids. This was a great day trip.

A wonderful day of hiking with friends! Beautiful photo opportunities! Make sure you study and pick your hiking trail carefully. We were on one of the rough trails and people were hiking with small children. There a ravines, rock edges, steep stairs and ladders to climb, therefore make sure you know the capabilities of your group. Visit the website or... More

Turkey Run is a very nice park with some really nice trails to walk/hike. The dogs enjoyed going down to the water to play and cool off.
