I can't understand why the "average" review said it is expensive?? It is FREE to park and get in. For adults to ride the train is $5 (less for kids and multi ride passes). The big train ride lasts 20+ minutes through beautiful woods. And the one who complained about ash?? Um, it's a STEAM TRAIN. Maybe best for them... More

My son is 4 and loves trains so this was perfect. Friendly staff and affordable. The trains are really cute and nothing was overpriced. Easy free parking. The only thing that I could complain about was the lines. It was fathers day weekend though. But by 3 most of the kids had it so it emptied out. I'll be going... More

We visited this afternoon with my nearly two year old who is obsessed with trains at the moment! It was very hot today so waiting for the train was a little harder than I assume it usually is, but overall we loved it! There are three different trains; we only rode the middle train but it was the perfect size... More

It's not exactly a museum experience but it's great to take kids, I would rate it 4 stars but on the train ash came flying in my face and a little girl got it in her eye, plus the ash made a hole in my dad's jacket. But it may have ben an accident. Plus the scenery is great no... More

An awesome day out. Loved the train rides and best were the "little trains" which travel through the heavily wooded hills and under a bridge. We bought Groupon ticket and saved few dollars... :)

Great place to take kids. Trains are wonderful, and so are other steam powered items. This place is staffed by volunteers who love there Hobby. Fees for rides, Worth it. Grandparent's looking for a place to take the Grandkids this place is it.

Heston Steam museum has them and they are unforgettable. You'll ride in an open air car through a picture perfect forest. The fares are reasonable and parking is free.

If you like trains this is a really fun afternoon. No a museum experience. But fun train rides. Something for adults and kids.

If you love steam engines, you need to visit Hesston! Staffed by volunteers who are there for the love of steam powered locomotion, you can ride the rails on large trains or miniatures. The tracks take a scenic tour of the northern Indiana woodlands. The park is free, and ride tickets are inexpensive. Make sure you stop by the old... More

Hesston does not cost much money. They have 4 different train rides. Halloween & Christmas are the best. Love the shop they just built, turned out very nice. Our kids enjoyed old-fashion icecream. Nice relaxing time for the family!
