The Hesston Steam Museum was a wonderful find. We spent one afternoon over the 4th of July holiday there riding their various steam engine trains through the woods. They are vintage engines restored and operated by an all volunteer group. There is also a steam driven power plant and sawmill operated by an Amish team of men. Finally, there is... More

This is a great place to visit especially if you or your kids like railroads or old steam engines. We have brought our daughter since she was 2. My parents loved Hesston with their old steam engines. I would highly recommend a visit to Hesston Steam Museum for an afternoon of fun.

We visited for Father's Day and were able to take in an antique truck show as well as the trains. I purchased tickets (4 ride tickets for 4 people) through a local Groupon deal and this made the visit well worth the money. I wouldn't want to pay the normal price of $54 for our family of 5 to get... More

We have visited Heston Steam Museum numerous times over the past years. We have always commented on how nice it is to have this place close to home. In recent years we have been even more so surprised by the crowds at Heston on Holidays. If I had not seen it for myself, I wouldn't believe it. We were at... More

When in northern Indiana or southern Michigan, I highly recommend a visit to this museum. It's not only about the trains..... they have a great selection of steam and diesel locomotives you can ride behind in every scale from 1.5", 7.5" gauge, all the way up to 30"... but they also have a unique collection of vintage stationary steam devices... Its an excellent family outing. We road the steam engine train through the woods. Meandered the tractors and steam engine exhibits. Looooved the flea market.

This attraction is open from Memorial Day through Labor day. They have special weekend setup where they pull out all their great trains. They also have a couple weekends in October for the the Ghost train and December for the Candy Cane Express. They have about 4 different scales of live steam engines that you can ride, through a couple... More

I have to give credit to the people that give up their time to work at the museum. Of course, everything is outside so you have to go when the weather is nice. I was not impressed with the museum. It was very expensive! We only went on the big train because we had out grandkids (age 2 and 4)... More
