The park is well manicured. Beautiful wild flower gardens. We took our dog to walk as we visited the Taste of Indy booths. Plan to pay for parking on-site. There is a place to rent bicycle carts and other recreation activities. Look like you can also canoe in the canal.

Having lived in Indianapolis for 15 years, I am embarrassed to say I have never visited the entire area of White River State Park. A part here or there at most. I have missed out. My daughter and I rode bikes, ate at a couple of venues, walked the canal. And soaked in the scenery. This entire setting made me... More

So much to see--Indiana state museum, the zoo, Washington pedestrian bridge and the eiteljorg museum are all sites contained within the state park. It is a huge part of the Indianapolis experience!

The canal is fed from the White River and runs through downtown Indy--much like the waterway in Chicago. I was visiting my granddaughter and her fiancé and looking on the internet for something to do locally. We saw the ad for the gondola ride with singing gondolier and decided that would be the thing to do. We took the 5... More

When I was growing up here this area was not like this at all. They have completely transformed the area and it's beautiful. Great area to explore alone or with family.

This park was beautiful. I wish I had more time to walk, bike and explore but I was there for a conf. and time was limited. I would go back to vacation and check out the Indian Museum as well!

I couldn't have felt safer. The area is well designed and well patrolled by Capital Police. You can walk further than most people would want and the combination of the bike rentals and the boat rentals on the canal add up to anyone being able to enjoy this area.

This a great park to hangout and enjoy in downtown Indianapolis. Concerts, walking trails, the canal, biking and museums. Nice green space. Well done Indianapolis!

This place is incredible and the best downtown state park I have ever been too! The paths for bikes and walking are fun and safe and clean. The sculptures and light up installation add a sense of whimsy to the already enchanting area. I am from out west and imagine my surprise when strolling hand in hand with sweetheart at... More
