Rented a bike for the day and went though all the paths and bike lanes in both downtown Indy, the canels and the WRS Park... great day, done very nicely by City Planners!

My family and I visited this park while in Indianapolis. We parked at the zoo and walked through the park to the capitol building. It was beautiful and peaceful to see the waterfall and walk along the canal. We also enjoyed the art work that was scattered along the walk in the park. On our way back to the zoo,... More

It was so refreshing to find a peaceful canal running right through the city. Lots of green space, art work, and several museums are connected by this park.

I went to park with a group, we rented bikes and rode around the park. Also, ran a 5K around the park.

we enjoyed our trip to the White River State Park, there is alot to do, there. The kids all enjoyed renting boat and kayaks and paddleing around for a couple hours. Also got to visit the Indiana State Musuem, a great place to take the family to learn about Indiana history.

Be sure to ride the paddle boats and the bicycles. The canal is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. The landscaping is awesome and very relaxing.

Came down to the park to watch the 4th of July fireworks and it turned out to be a great location for that. Spread out a blanket on the big lawn and bought some food and beverages that were available there for sale. Kids loved the location right on the river. Can park at the zoo right across the river... It has the Zoo, and an number of other sites. I wish I had more time to explore the area. The walking/biking paths are something I wish we had in our town.

It is so nice to have the park so close to downtown. They have very convenient parking (free if you buy a ticket to a museum) so after time in the museums and the park you can walk to a restaurant.
