Nice for family or couple

Pleasant walk for our entire family. Plenty of art and gardens to see along the way. Will plan to do a paddle boat ride next time!

I found a trail along the canal down by the IUPUI campus. In town for a swim meet and ran a few times during our stay. Followed the trail towards the Lucas stadium and it was partly shaded which was nice and only saw a few other people. Went into the woods and under some bridges, was happy to see... More

A lovely afternoon spent with my dog walking the park. It was great, dog friendly, clean and peaceful.

I stumbled on the walking trail by accident when we stayed at the Marriott Courtyard. It was lovely and in full bloom with redbud trees. Very pretty walk and quite safe. It was a wonderful surprise.

This is a great area in downtown Indianapolis. It has access to the White River and to the Canal, as well as several museums. The area is beautiful. It's popular for running, biking, relaxing or picnicking. There are also other activities that look fun such as paddle boating and segway riding. I love the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg... We went as a couple on a beautiful Friday afternoon. There weren't a lot of people. We took a peaceful walk around the park. It's a nice addition to downtown. I would recommend checking it out.

I was a nice oasis in the middle of a downtown bustle area. Enjoy the canals and river. I enjoyed seeing the variety of plants and flowers. Lots of bees buzzing, but a nice way to see nature in the city.

Beauty, cleanliness, a fine example of how much Indianapolis loves to give back. Mostly free, some activities come at a price, but minimal and affordable.

I grew up here, and this area was the place of an old "coney island" type amusement park right on the river. It was called "Riverside", and has been torn down down, but the park now is nice and quiet near the river. Indiana soils are such that almost all our rivers look muddy, and they are not that pretty... More

This is a great place for exercise and activities. Very pretty walk that still allows you to sty close to the attractions downtown.
