This park has something for everyone. If you want to run, walk, hike or stroll there's space to do it. The hugs central play place is great for the kids. The hill is awesome for sledding and a great work out in nice weather. $40 for an entire year of use is a fabulous bargain!

Went here for a hike and found it to be most pleasant. There are easy paths and paths that are a bit more difficult. It is quiet and the many of the paths are shaded by the woods. Some of the paths are a bit precarious as there are tree roots, rocks and steep drop offs. The paths very in... More

We went horseback riding here and had a great time! The cost is affordable and we went for the 2 mile trail ride. The trainers were patient and very safe at all times. They were patient and did a great job helping everyone stay safe on the trails! It is fun and the views are very relaxing! There are also... More

this state park is a former army post. See the POW encampment area that was used during the World War II era with concrete pads where the tents were located. Latrines on one side of the field and mess halls on the other side of the field. See some of the buildings that were used for training at Ft. Benjamin... More

We spent most of the afternoon here recently, hiking the park's scenic trails. It was a very hot day, but the trails were cool and shaded. Horseback riding is available.

If you have young kids in the Indy area, or visiting the Indy area, this park is great. The trails are nice and pretty easy, there are multiple playground areas and huge sledding hill that can even be a fun challenge for kids when there is no snow. The saddle barn has pony rides for a few bucks and the... More

This is a beautifully-kept park near Indianapolis. Trails, grounds, and picnic areas are well-maintained.

I think this is the only Indiana State Park I have went to that was a total disappointment. My 3yr. old grandson son said it was "Boring". This seems to be more a city park that has very little to do. We actually spent about 5 min. in the building the consider a Museum.

I loved that the food was steaming on my plate. Service was very old school even in the banquet setting. It felt calming.
