Love this park! Great trails for walking or running. Getting outdoors here is especially nice since it is tucked away from the city/suburbia areas. The lake is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

This year we were able to get by the beach for the picnic. There are new slides, monkey bars for the kids to play on. They can swim and climb on a big inflatable slide. It was very hot this year with a light breeze off the water....

My sister and her kiddies were visiting Indy (2 boys 7 and 11, at the time) and we wanted something outdoorsy they could spend hours enjoying, where we didn't have to keep forking over money every 20 minutes and where they could essentially keep themselves entertained. The beach area was PERFECT for this. We brought a picnic lunch and some... More

We went kayaking and had a great time. Clean friendly fun. Beautiful. We stopped at the ornithology center as well. It was well worth it. There was so much to offer we did not have enough time to do it.

Eagle Creek park is fantastic - it is a huge park (the largest in Indy by far and one of the largest municipal parks in the US according to Wikipedia). You can rent kayaks and canoes, hike on trails, go fishing, use trails for biking, picnic, birdwatch and visit their ornithology center, have a workout on their fitness trail, etc.... More

We found the park signs to be small, old, badly painted with too small letters, and not very helpful. I didn't mind driving in and out of every road because we were just killing time exploring. The boat rental and picnic area was exciting and many families were fishing, boating, and grilling. The playgrounds were surrounded by picnic tables and... More

I love the hiking trail around the lake. It's so quiet and green. Saw a bald eagle here once. Also a deer who let me get very close. Beautiful scenery.

Nestled on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, Eagle Creek Park is a sight to behold! For fitness buffs there are numerous hiking trails that bring you close to nature and if you are observant might stumble upon a tree carved with the signature of Daniel Boone himself. Like competition there is the Eagle Creek Iron Man, U.S. Rowing, Archery and... More

I usually go with my family to see fall colors. Beautiful spectra of fall colors. There is a small trail around lily lake which is super easy and beautiful.

Eagle creek has a great range of activities including hiking, boating and zip lining (separate fee). There are several great playgrounds for the youngsters. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that you can hear traffic from nearly every point of the park. So if you want to truly get back to nature head to a state... More
