Beautiful for Fall colors

I usually go with my family to see fall colors. Beautiful spectra of fall colors. There is a small trail around lily lake which is super easy and beautiful.

Eagle creek has a great range of activities including hiking, boating and zip lining (separate fee). There are several great playgrounds for the youngsters. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that you can hear traffic from nearly every point of the park. So if you want to truly get back to nature head to a state... More

Many trails for hiking and there's a lake which has outdoor facilities and a beach. Great parking at each trailhead, so you can explore one area, and get in your car to go to a different spot if your kids don't want to hike all the way. A great, cheap family outing.

This park is one of my favorite places in Indianapolis They have a great protected area where you can watch birds feeding and another are where you can look out over Eagle Creek Reservoir and see all the water birds. It is a great place for hiking with beautiful wooded trails that I think are very well constructed and well... More

Whenever we hike through Eagle Creek, our first choice of trail is the Red Trail. The Red Trail offers the best of everything in the park, in our opinion. If you start at the North Gate, the trail will wind you through a small patch of woods (just take the service road down to the reservoir if you want a... More

Great private sailing club here, and no motors over 10 hp, so you don't have to compete for the lake. Lots of J24s, Highlanders, some J22s and laser, Finn, etc. Deeper than Geist, so you can have a keelboat.

They have many trails to hike or jog/run. Also a marina with boat rentals and a swimming beach. I often walk my dog there around the bird sanctuary - very nice with lots of birds to see obviously. Bald Eagles can be seen often along with Blue Herons. By an annual pass, so worth it.

The setting was absolutely wonderful, the facility was certainly more than adequate. The most difficult thing, ahem. . . was the difficulties found in the flushing system of the mens & womens baths. I know, I know, it's on a septic, but the damper on the wonderful event could not be overcome. The natural setting in the lodge provided air... More

Lots of variety (trails, decks, observation rooms, and ornithology center) and areas for kids or just sitting and drinking in the scenery.

First, this is a city park, not a state park so the fact that they charge $5-6 to enter is ridiculous since tax money already covers the cost of the park and rumor has it the price is going up again. The grounds and park itself are beautiful and a great place to bike around. It's generally crowded so it's... More
