I had never attended a play although the idea of live theater was always interesting to me. I won tickets to The Hound of the Baskervilles for me and several of my friends through a local competition. I didn't know what to expect, from dress code to intermission I was clueless. I contacted IRT to ask some questions and received... More

We recently visited the IRT for "Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles," and once again, they've surprised us! I was anxious to see how they'd pull this one off with any special effects with "the hound," and they did it! The actors, sets, and costumes are always amazing, and they even managed to throw in an Easter egg for... More

The play "What I Learned in Paris" was one of the most enjoyable plays I've seen in some time. The setting is retro 1973 Atlanta in the evening after the first black Mayor gets elected to office. This play isn't about race but more about relationships. Fun and witty, lady take charge, pull on your heart strings, identify with the... More

This is my favorite theater! It is a great place to catch a classic play for a reasonable price. It is an intimate environment and is located conveniently in the heart of downtown. They offer valet parking, but we usually park at the Washington Street mall parking garage just east of the theater. It is very reasonable - usually less... More

Saw "A Christmas Carol" here, our first trip to IRT. The production was terrific: inventive staging and use of the cast along with close adherence to the beloved text. The theater itself is beautiful. Ornate, intimate, comfortable. We'll be back for future productions.

We saw "A Christmas Carol"--first time here for both my husband & myself. This is a beautiful, intimate venue. The production was very well done--we were not disappointed--will definitely be back!

We go to some version of A Christmas Carol every year and this was our first visit to IRT for this show. I loved it! The theatre is beautiful and so well maintained. They had a bar and allow drinks in the theatre which was really nice. There is plenty of parking at nearby mall garages but they also offer... More

We usually start the Christmas season by attending A Christmas Carol at IRT. This year, the production was ok but not as good as in years past. The actor who played Scrooge for many years (Charles Goad) was back in the play but not as Scrooge. New Scrooge not nearly as good. Also, play was shortened - not sure why.... More
