Such a great place to walk. Lots of people walking, biking and kayaking. Fun to see all the different condos and rental apartments. Would LOVE to live along canal. Clean and pleanty of benches to sit and people-watch. Only one place to eat; would be great if there were more eateries!!

Its a pretty cool spot in the heart of Indiana but Ive been to better river walks. Wish they had more greenery and at least ONE place to sit and have a coffee or drink.

Disappointed in the things along the canal. We walked the length of the canal where lots of joggers and bicyclist passed us. It looked interesting if you want to paddle boat or kayak but not too much to look at for strollers. Long walk with no where to stop for a drink or snack.

We rented kayaks and did the whole canal which was great. A little disappointed that there wasn't a lot of venues to get a drink or food at on the canal. There was a cafe but it's not always open. Ice cream bars at the rental place but that was about it. There are also paddle boats to rent.

This is a great place to visit. The canal is beautiful and the area is very clean. Great spot to visit when they dye the river blue for the Colts game.

I was a little worried about walking along the canal on my own, but no need. The paths are well lit and I didn't feel at all unsafe. Highly recommend this as a scenic change of pace in downtown Indy

My boyfriend and I go to the canal ALL the time. There is plenty of street parking available. They just installed the Pacers Bike Share near the Senate Ave entrance. You can walk the 3 miles in a breeze. You can see many of the Indianapolis attractions: Indianapolis Zoo, Lucas Oil Stadium, JW Marriott, White River State Park, Indiana State... More

We rented bikes and pedaled the entire canal on a gorgeous evening in August. There were lots of other people out, but it wasn't too busy that it was a hassle. Great little piece of Indy to experience during the nicer seasons.

My wife and I spent a couple of hours walking along the canal. It was beautiful, with nice art work and just very relaxing. It is not overly commercialized and you can rent bikes or paddleboats which looked like fun. We ran into the NCAA Hall of Fame and enjoyed that cost-free attraction as well. You can also walk to...
