My daughter lives near here and it is a superb walk, whether just people or with the dog. Such a lovely setting was a secret for a long time around here. I look forward to each visit to explore it and the surrounding options more.

One can walk along the canal from about 10th street to Washington Street in downtown Indianapolis. Paddle boats can be rented to traverse the distance as well. This a great place to watch people, runners, bicyclists, walkers, etc. There are places for refreshments as well. AND......don't miss the clock that has hands going backwards!!!

This is an incredible place to walk, for lovers to stroll, for families to spend a weekend afternoon or just for sight seeing. The views are peaceful and captivating. The place is clean, well lit and well maintained. I highly recommend it.

We stumbled across the canal while Geocaching during our stay in Indianapolis. It was beautiful and calm. We want to come back in the summer and take a boat ride!

While in town for a work related program I often escaped to walk along the canal. Many museums and parks to explore and great opportunities to take photographs.

This is a wonderful place to take a walk, jog, bike ride or paddle boat in the heart of Indy. Set in the middle of everything, this pretty canal walk is a quiet place to escape the noise of the city. Nicely landscaped with bridges and areas to sit and just enjoy. There are a few nice little places to... More

I feel very lucky to live in Indianapolis and be able to walk along and dine on our Canal. Several large museums are on the canal also our Veterans Memorial. You can rent a paddle boat and travel the length of the canal. There is also a gondola you can rent for a "Venetian" experience!!

The canal winds through what used to be Indianapolis' stockyards. There are several new buildings along the canal, including the historical society and state museum. It is a great place to walk or run just about any time of day.

A great place to go when you've got nothing special to do other than relax and take in some relaxation and r and r. Picturesque opportunity for many types of photography and a great setting for a small wedding. Beautiful in the spring and fall.
