We visited the RDC mainly to see the DRUMset exhibit (and the Chromey kit of Mr. Neil Peart of RUSH). We did that, but also enjoyed viewing the many other displayed percussion instruments and learning some history. The other great aspect of the RDC is the playable instruments, including acoustic and electric drum kits. Most everything is kept in good... More

I loved the Rhythm Discovery Center. It was very interactive with interesting facts. My 9 yo daughter had a wonderful time as did her parents. We each went our separate ways and had a good time. We also played as a family band. It is a hidden gem that needs to be brought into the light.

My family and I had a great time at Rhythm Discovery Center. Most of the exhibits are interactive and what child doesn't love making noise. It is also very cheap admission. My family will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I spent a rainy afternoon here. Neither of us play the drums- we are both guitarists, but no matter. These exhibits will bring out the drummer and experimental percussionists in anyone. Great for all ages. We loved playing the electronic drums kits with headphones and playing around in the percussions rooms where you can play real drum... More

We have lived in the area for 27 yrs & wasn't aware of the Rhythm Discovery until we saw an article in the newspaper. It's somewhat hidden (down the basement) near Panera Bread & Weber Grill areas of the building. Some of the drum & instruments you can play & others just look at plus there are short videos by... We had plans to go the zoo .but the weather didn't play ball. So my wife suggested we go to this percussion experience. We did I am so glad. I have played drums since I was small child, now my son enjoys them as well. The admission is very reasonable. When you walk in it is sensory overload they have... More

This was a last minute stop on our last day in Indy. We were so glad we did. Our kids ages 6 and 3 had a blast checking out all the rhythm instruments. ear plugs are included with admission for sensitive ears. Since our visit, my 3 year old daughter has heard "the music" in a ball falling down the... More

My family visited on a Friday afternoon and really enjoyed a unique experience. There were no crowds and it allowed us more freedom to take our time to explore and interact. Our 3 year old had a fantastic time banging and shaking everything. So much interactivity made it a memorable experience for all of us. It was great fun to... More

This little museum, operated by the non-profit Percussive Arts Society (also in this building along with Drum Corp International) provides an educational look at percussion through the years. Exhibits change regularly (2014 featured the actual drum kits used by some famous drummers) and there are many interactive displays. Great stop for any music lovers, not just drummers.

Had a great time visiting! Interactive, hands in exhibits! Let the drummer in you play a drum kit or try out the various percussion instruments. Great staff and very helpful!
