As is often the case with anything to do with the arts, it is probably a fact that most residents of the central Indiana area do not know it is here. Whether you paint, do photography, or create in any fashion they have classes and the facility that can make your experience with the arts a real treat. Check it... More

Great location and venue. A lot to see and do, a very pretty place in the fall time.. We will definitely be back in the future.

We were at the art show and toured the facility. The art studios are fantastic and the list of available classes were wonderful. I wish I was from this area to take advantage of this art center and certainly hope the locals do. The instructors seemed extremely talented. And the gardens were lovely. I do not know what it's like... More

The Indianapolis Art Center continues to be a destination for arts of all kinds. I have attended art shows, independent film premieres and music productions, both in the main building and on the grounds. The adjoining ArtsPark along the White River has several unique installations and is a wonderful place for a leisurely visit from Spring to Fall.

I did not get to see the entire center but the glass paperweight pop up was a lot of fun. Patient instructors, reasonably easy task, ended up with decent-ish final product and had a fun time doing something I'd never otherwise have gotten to try. Next up, cloisonne enamel jewelery!

This is a great facility have visited often. The grounds are wonderful, well landscaped with art, shrubbery, etc. on the banks of the river. However, the recent flurry of construction seems to have created the need for "walling in" the parking lot, sidewalk, etc. The inside of the building appears as nice as ever and the exhibits and classes as... A college roommate's daughter was exhibiting here, since Indy is close and she is so very talented, we made the trip from Cincinnati. What a gem! The exhibits were very well presented, interesting and full of life. Another exhibit which truly impressed us was art by students before and after they were exposed to the homeless community. AND homeless before... More

The gallery area is a treat, but the outdoor art and gardens are even better. Lots of good picture-taking little nooks and crannies.

I read about this place when looking for unique attractions in Indianapolis, and I'm so glad I found it!! I walked around inside for a little while, but my main focus was the outdoor sculpture garden. There were only a few other visitors while I was there, and it was incredibly peaceful. I sat on the dock next to the... More

Stroll the gardens to enjoy the landscaping and the outdoor sculpture. Take a class, the instructors are the best. Love the "pop-up" one night classes. Enjoy the displayed art inside. Very few facilities like this in the U.S.
