When we were in Indianapolis k last May we stopped to visit the Cathedral. It is magnificent, and the gentleman there took us on an hours tour and not only explained the traditions of the Scottish Rite, but took time to point out the magnificent construction and wooden decors on the walls and ceilings. We were very glad that we... More

Enjoyed a 10 a.m. tour for free with a very very very old man. He walked and talked sooooo slow, but it was still interesting seeing many parts of this "non-religious" cathedral filled with rooms and venues that are primarily rented out for business events and weddings. My brother's wedding ceremony was held here this past weekend. The chapel we were in was beautifully appointed, and the perfect size for a small wedding. Parking and location were convenient, too. Always a plus!

We saw the Nutcracker ballet performed in its ornate auditorium and the surroundings added to the experience. We'd previously taken a guided tour. I can only say "they don't make them like this anymore."

This is a shriner facility. IT is gorgeous inside and out. Drive by at night and see it lit up. They do tours and it is worth it to learn things you might never find out otherwise. I have been here for performances and parties also. I really enjoyed the feel.

I'm a member, and I can't believe it everytime I visit for a meeting or other occasion. The detail that went into that place is amazing.
