This exhibit is a nice excursion on a sunny warm day. Each war is represented with a separate glass panel that has each Medal of Honor recipients name, rank and location etched in huge glass panels. Looking at each panel will certainly make you proud to be an American and proud of each recipients sacrifices that earned them this prestigious... More

I stopped with my sons here and explained to them the sacrifice and bravery put forth by the names on the glass. They were taken by the designations of which wars were involved (anything prior to WWII Band of Brothers is ancient history to them !)

Great Memorial for our soldiers. It's located on the canal behind the Indiana State Museum. It covers all the wars we have been in.

A must see to really grab the enormity and the sacrifice that is symbolized by our nation's highest military honor. Beautiful memorial that shows each winner etched in glass and at dusk the lights come on which gives it a whole new dynamic which is beautiful and serene, right on one of the canals and across from the museum.

A beautiful memorial to our fallen hero's located on the downtown canal. It is even more moving to experience after sunset as it is an interactive display telling the stories of these hero's.

Any memorial that is dedicated to the brave soldiers who gave their lives to defend freedom is worth a visit. It is near the canal and museums so it is easy to stop by to pay respects.

You do have to use the interactive kiosk to understand the serious and amazing sacrifices made by our military men and women. Simply looking at the glass panes is not enough. And will all the fine museums around, it tends to get lost - and should not.

Start to walk past the panels etched with heroes' names and you'll hear voices from long ago, outilning the events that made them our nation's favorite sons. Thank you, soldiers, for your unequalled service to our country.

It's not as big as you think. Just location on the canal walk. Very short attraction but it's for a good cause. What you see in the pictures is exactly what it is. It's nice to stop by and look as you're going on a bike ride or walk through the canal walk.
