We visited over Labor Day weekend, and the zoo was not nearly as crowded as we anticipated. It was an overcast day, and the temperature was perfect! We love coming to this zoo.

This zoo has many great things going for it. For a start, the new parking underneath the solar panel roofs in the new lot off Sherman is a great idea. Next, the Giraffe Feeding Station in the African Journey section is one of the best I have seen, and I always look for Giraffe Feeding opportunities. The Indonesian Rain Forrest... More

We like exploring this zoo. We enjoy the log ride, carousel, and train ride. We like seeing the different type animals in their habitats and the interactive areas. We like that parking is free and the zoo is cheaper than Indianapolis Zoo.

Lots of animals. Kids love it. You can feed the giraffes. Nice aquarium nothing too fancy. Food and drink are in the expensive side though.

A place to have an enjoyable day. Additional exhibits are still under construction. Different areas to explore.

Much better than I could have imagined. There were plenty of animals to see. The layout of the zoo was really nice. The landscaping was beautiful. We got to feed a giraffe, which was really cool. There were many volunteers throughout the park who were more than willing to share information about the animals, which was much appreciated. The food... More

I've been going to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo since I was a child, I'm in my 40's now. They strive to make your experience great and to enrich the lives of the animals there. They have grown from just Nature preserve to just having 5 and 1/2 acres of exhibits to what they are today. The staff and volunteers... More

We have been to some of the best zoos in the country and I have to say that the FW Children's Zoo is definitely ranked up there with the best! My daughter really loves the Wild Zoo Halloween although it can get pretty crowded and the lines are long, but that just goes to show you how great and popular... More

I took my nephew to the zoo, and ended up having almost as much fun as he did. My favorite part was definitely feeding the giraffes. For $5 you can get 6 tokens to use throughout the zoo at various attractions like the train ride (2 tokens for adults) and feeding the giraffes (1 token).

Fantastic zoo. Fun ride, great animals, easy to get around. Love how the areas are sectioned off in themes..Australian adventure, African journey to name a few. Take a break and have a picnic in Franke Park (where zoo is located) and make a day of it!
