I love it here. There are so many re-enactments and events! It is the BEST when people do the 1st person interpretations and make you believe you and they are really in a particular time period. Keep up the good work! Can't say enough good things.

One of my most unforgettable travels so far. Filled with so much history and spectacular sights. It was like revisiting and living in the past. It was wonderful.

The events held at HFW truly have something for everyone. The coolest thing about the events is that each one is noticeably different. Time periods represented throughout the year include the 1600s, French and Indian War, American Revolution, War of 1812, American Civil War and a Timeline event which covers ever war from the 1600s up to WWII. When the... More

Very peacful and friendly. Fort Wayne was where I grew up from 1964 to 1968. It looks much smaller than I remember as well as the home I lived in. It was fun taking pictures and going to places that I rember

We visited Old Fort in Ft Wayne for Be a Tourist in Your Hometown and were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had. it was our first visit and didn't know what to expect. Re-enactors were there in uniform and were friendly to talk with. I loved watching the women spinning wool. We also heard songs on pipes and... More

The original Fort in Fort Wayne stood a few blocks away at a junction of 2 rivers. It was moved for better access. It's open on weekends and for special events. Manned and a great learning resource for kids to see how people lived. It's been recently updated and the buildings have been repaired. Everyone should strive to see it... More
