Very peacful and friendly. Fort Wayne was where I grew up from 1964 to 1968. It looks much smaller than I remember as well as the home I lived in. It was fun taking pictures and going to places that I rember

We visited Old Fort in Ft Wayne for Be a Tourist in Your Hometown and were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had. it was our first visit and didn't know what to expect. Re-enactors were there in uniform and were friendly to talk with. I loved watching the women spinning wool. We also heard songs on pipes and... More

The original Fort in Fort Wayne stood a few blocks away at a junction of 2 rivers. It was moved for better access. It's open on weekends and for special events. Manned and a great learning resource for kids to see how people lived. It's been recently updated and the buildings have been repaired. Everyone should strive to see it... More

The grounds were well kept. The fort was not open to public but you get the general idea of went on there. We walked the trails surrounding the fort and had a great, safe nature walk.

We had no idea that Fort Wayne, IN was such an historic area. It was fun learning....especially at the fort. We hit a good weekend as there were people in period costume doing what life at the fort was like in 1754-1763 during the time of Chief Pontiac's Rebellion when it was burned to the ground. I really felt sorry... More

We were pleasantly surprised upon stopping at this site and exploring the history through these folks dressed in period costumes, etc.

We love historic stuff so worked hard to figure out parking and how to get to the historic fort. The area is kept up but no signage is in place to explain the site, buildings, or history of the area. It has so much potential but just seems to be unimportant in the overall scheme of the city, which is... More

We were driving through Fort Wayne Downtown, and noticed people dressed up in old times costumes - just by accident. As we were looking to see something interesting while in Fort Wayne, we just stopped right away, parked the car and went looking for the park where everything was happening. We were very pleased to find an interesting place like... More
