We have been members for years, very diverse exhibits, although small, most can be seen in an hour or less. As a family we have enjoyed most exhibits and highly recommend.

A small, but ambitious museum doing its best with limited financial resources. What do you do if you are an art museum in a smaller city in the midwest and so you don't have the funding to compete with larger museums in big metropolitan areas? You define the areas where your collection needs to be strengthened and you focus on... More

We had a great time visiting our local Ft. Wayne Art Muesum for the first time in years. It is not a large museum, but the staff has done a wonderful, job of combining its own holdings with excellent pieces from other places. The documentation makes it possible for every visitor to learn. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Creative gift shop. Would... More

Because it's a small art museum, the traveling exhibits really make a difference in the experience. I wouldn't go if there isn't one, or if you aren't interested in the traveling exhibit. The normal collections definitely lean toward modern art. The gift shop is fantastic.

If you go once, you sort of know what's there. Most is modern art, local artists, but exhibitions are not very diverse and do not change often. I think the mission of the museum must be public education programs and community hosted events since I have attended many over the years. During the 3 Rivers Festival, you may visit the... More

There were four exhibits open the day I was there - took less than an hour but definitely worth it. Most of the art was interesting and attractive. The real find is the gift shop which has real art for sale instead of mass-market tchotchkes. Prices were affordable and much more enjoyable to acquire a handmade art object or jewelry... More
