Ceiling to floor even the basement full of books!!! Awesome place! Gentleman working was great. He knew right where to find the books we were looking for. We brought our three kids ages 11, 9, 8. They loved it! We will be visiting again for sure!

What a surprise...a used book store that is a destination in itself. Get lost in the stacks of books (all nicely arranged so what you're looking for will be easy to locate - of course the staff there knows where everything is) and have some fun just nosing around. AND the bargain sale items at the front of the shop... More

This bookstore has all the elements to make it a new favorite. There are towering shelves with sliding ladders, an entire second level of books in the basement, and an excellent selection with gems every where you look. I visited for the second time, convinced I needed to spend more time wandering the shelves. My only complaint was the there... More

This place in Fort Wayne is wall-to-wall-to-ceiling books. It is almost overwhelming going into Hyde Brothers because you feel like you are missing out on so many books just by walking down the aisles. You can sometimes find a deal here but usually priced about right.

This place is not your typical bookstore. You will find books stacked from the ceiling to the floors here. I have no idea how they can stay in business with all of those fire code violations. However, this place would not be unique if it was not like how it is now. If you are looking for older books or... More

It is a magical place, with lots of books. I love being there because it makes me feel at home. Hundreds of books all in one place.

This used bookstore is made for book lovers. From the resident cat to the esoteric assortment of books, there is truly something for everyone. It is wall to wall, ceiling to floor -- if you can't find something to read here, you just aren't trying. The assortment of books is astounding.

Actually, Hyde Brothers Bookstore really does appear in an award-winning, 29-minute Romance movie called THE BOOK AND THE ROSE. So, if you've ever seen that film (There's a trailer on youtube,) you might want to visit the real bookstore for the fun of it. I was there just a few weeks ago, and it's pretty much the way it's always... More

I have been here before, and I do believe that the owner DOES seem to care when you're one-on-one with him, but his staff are atrocious, selfish and up-tight. The old woman who works there chastised me like I was her child when I accidentally walked somewhere where I was not supposed to be, then kept her nasty attitude during... More

I love going to Hyde Brothers. I can usually find what I am lookin for. You can take in your used books and get credit toward other books. They are very knowledgable and helpful when I have had questions.
