Conner Prairie was an amazing walk back in time. We learned so much as we walked through all four areas of the outdoor museum. The kids learned to make fire, trade furs, decipher animal tracks, crush corn into meal and throw tomahawks in the Indian section. They saw 3 day old lambs and were able to pet goats, calves, &... This is such a fascinating place to me. Every time I visit I'm impressed all over again. They have amazing events throughout the year, and the Legend of Sleepy Hollow in October is our favorite! More

When visiting friends in Indianapolis, we spent an afternoon at Conner Prairie. For those who have been to Williamsburg and / or Plimoth Plantation, this park is a smaller scale and re-enactment of the 1800's in Indiana. There was a Native American in a small village, and a pioneer village with re-enactors that were in perfect character. There is also... More

The interactivity of the employee/volunteers is the best part of the museum. We are lucky the Lilly family allowed our City to maintain this live history. The structures and environment are authentic. More

My husband and I visited Conner Prairie with our three children (K, 3rd, and 6th grade) at the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. It was the favorite attraction of our long weekend visit to Indianapolis of my husband, myself, and our 6th grader. We were there on the second day of the outdoor season. Our youngest daughter loved... More

We weren't sure how this visit was going to go with two rambunctious ten year olds. They loved it and we spent the entire day..arriving at open and leaving as they closed. The park is well laid out, priced well for families (well maybe with exception of the fact they actually charged for a cup of water), and the staff... More

The new Civil War Journey is open and, while more scripted than the remainder of the park, is a great introduction to the Civil War that manages to engage older kids while not being too graphic for younger ones. More
