My family and I visited this musuem recently and enjoyed the various features provided. There were areas with gallery art, a place with memorabilia for the local baseball team, a kids area and much more. It took us about 2 hours to view everything and was worth our visit. Be sure to walk next door and visit the train exhibit... More

We stopped at the museum because it was raining and we wanted an indoor activity. The interactive science area was great fun for everyone. We all enjoyed the walk back in time with authentic room displays and the collection of memorabilia obout Bosses field. We were impressed with the quality and diversity of the art, both contemporary and traditional.

Recently renovated, this museum is unusually diverse for a small city. It has a wonderful collection of "traditional" art along with a strong collection of modern American art. A state of the art immersive theater and a transportation museum completes the experience.

Only recently did we become members of our own Evansville Museum… and we are SO glad we did! This last year, it’s gone through some AMAZING changes! As a part of the Evansville River walk, the museum is visible from all sides…. The front, with its high glass walls and open concept in the main entry, it shines at night... More

Evansville is on the up and up. The Museum just completed their renovation and added a 3D surround sound bubble for an awesome display of history and science with different shows scheduled on the hour from Dinosaurs to the Galaxy and more. Today I saw "Dinosaurs at Dusk." Anyone, especially kids will have fun with this visual learning experience. The... More

We stopped in one hour before they closed. The person working the front desk was very polite and gave us some advice on the top attractions to see in the time available. There are two educational sections that our 4 year old really enjoyed. We will defiantly go back the next time we are in Evansville.

Nice small art museum with good balance of old and new art. History area is laid out with great displays and media. You can spend an hour or two depending on your interest.

At first thought, a small museum combining history, art, transportation, and science would appear to be disaster waiting to happen - how can it possibly do justice to all of these subjects with limited space and presumably budget. Well, this little museum does it very well indeed. It covers Evansville history very effectively from its origins through post-WWII with a... More

Exhibits are great! I especially like the art section in the museum. It was an unexpected surprise for the size of Evansville. Beautiful paintings by famous artists. The new planetarium is great for all ages.

The Evansville museum for years was a dark, dreary place. Not any more. It is bright, happy and revamped. I was very impressed during a recent visit. The new planetarium theater is amazing. I also learned so much about the area. The displays were well lit and the instruction signs were great. Volunteers were friendly and helpful. Train exhibit was... More
