We have been to Masker Park Zoo two times and have loved it. It is very hilly, so be aware if you have walking issues. The tram is only 2 tokens per person to ride all day, so we take advantage of that and the boys (2 and 4) enjoy it. When we get tired we ride a little then... More

This place had a lot to offer, including a tram ride around the place. I do not know how they can continue to operate the place though because there did not seem to be too many guests there on July 13, 2014. It was very hot and kind of humid, but of course none of us can control the weather...... More

The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is typical of a zoo in a town the size of Evansville. There is a good assortment of animals that viewers can see pretty close up. There is plenty of space of each animal display, and the zoo is spread out giving folks a good walk to see all that is on display.

This is a gem of a zoo. It's not huge but they have a good variety of animals (and plants! - this would be worth the price of admission just for a botanical walk). Word of warning - this is a very hilly site. I encourage anyone with trouble walking to get a tram ticket to take you from one... More

I'm prejudiced because I grew up enjoying this from the days they had the monkey boat, but more current visits confirm that this is an attraction easy to enjoy. My favorite part is that you can walk around with the peacocks but I also love the indoor nocturnal animals, the hippi, and the giraffes. You can ride the little train around... More

It speaks well of a city of our size that it has seen fit to keep up with current zoo expectations and philosophy. Given budgetary constraints the zoo may not have the broadest spectrum of animals but what there is are well tended and presented. The gem is Amazonia, our own little tropical jungle. A must see if you are... More

Great zoo with lots of interactive areas. Some exhibits are closed for renovation, but there are still several areas to roam.

Small enough to walk in 2 hours, the staff were very helpful in answering our questions. The animal feeding times are posted, so that is always entertaining
