had an hour to kill, and after seeing zoos in Memphis or San Diego, and HoChiMinh City VN this is probably a very good zoo for town the size of Evansville. relaxing mid week visit with very few people visiting. so was a pretty quick walk through. kind of like a good walk with some interesting sights. Better than the... More

Nice family zoo.Good collection of animals. Be prepared to do a lot of walking up and down hills. They do have a tram to get around the zoo. Admission price and food prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this zoo to anyone.

I am from Baltimore and have two zoos in close proximity that are world renowned..so I am probably zoo "snobby", but I will not visit this zoo again. The landscaping on the trails and pathways is tremendously overgrown. There are not a lot of animals to see, but the peacocks run wild throughout the zoo, so that was pretty interesting.... More

We love to go to the zoo on a cool day. There's so much to see at Amazonia and they are always adding exhibits. The hills are awesome for cardio and toning your buns.

We drove down from Indianapolis to visit our daughter at USI and took 6 teenagers to the zoo. The price is very reasonable and the zoo is large. There are some unique animals there. The food is not priced outrageously so you can get a snack. The college kids have been a few times which I think says a lot.... More

While on vacation we visited the Mesker Park Zoo and Gardens and had a very good time. The admission was reasonable and the wide variety of animals was very good. There were a lot of little hills so be prepared with a good pair of walking shoes. There were plenty of places to sit along the way and one thing... More

We have been to Masker Park Zoo two times and have loved it. It is very hilly, so be aware if you have walking issues. The tram is only 2 tokens per person to ride all day, so we take advantage of that and the boys (2 and 4) enjoy it. When we get tired we ride a little then... More

This place had a lot to offer, including a tram ride around the place. I do not know how they can continue to operate the place though because there did not seem to be too many guests there on July 13, 2014. It was very hot and kind of humid, but of course none of us can control the weather...... More

The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is typical of a zoo in a town the size of Evansville. There is a good assortment of animals that viewers can see pretty close up. There is plenty of space of each animal display, and the zoo is spread out giving folks a good walk to see all that is on display.

This is a gem of a zoo. It's not huge but they have a good variety of animals (and plants! - this would be worth the price of admission just for a botanical walk). Word of warning - this is a very hilly site. I encourage anyone with trouble walking to get a tram ticket to take you from one... More
