An amazing collection of RV's of all types from 1913 through the 80's. Several one of a kind prototype campers as well. The facility is beautiful, modern and well designed. Walking through the collection was literally like walking through time. Some campers are restored, but many are just as they were when they were last used which is fabulous. Although... More

We weren't sure how worthwhile this venue would be but ended up spending 4 hours thoroughly enjoying it. Housed in a beautiful, modern facility the main exhibit features vehicles from the early 1900's to the 1970's used as campers for travel and recreation. They are appealingly displayed along a winding "road" which leads you through the development and advancements of... More

We attended the Midwest RV show and were equally impressed with the museum. The displays are informative and show the history of mobile homes, motor homes and recreational vehicles.

If you are into RVing at all, this is a must see if you are in the area. There are many old RVs dating back as far as 1913. You can go inside quite a few of them. They are attractively displayed. There is also an area with some new RVs you can see inside. In this area is a... More

Enjoyed every minute of it although i have never camped in my live. Takes you through the developmental history of rv's and though this sounds boring it was very interesting. If pasding thru or by elkhart take the opportunity and go even if not a camper.

We enjoyed wandering in and out of the RVs dating back to the 1930s. It was an interesting walk through RV history. The new RVs were fun and we're sure the big one has a nicer kitchen than we have at home!

My wife and took the tour today and enjoyed exploring the past. We love vintage rv's and have found that they last a lot longer than the newer models. I was concerned that the newly re-modeled trailer to be auctioned on ebay to benefit the museum may not be in top notch condition. I noticed that adhesive around the front... More

FUN FUN FUN! I thought I would be bored silly.. No way. What a great place. Just to name a few on display: The first prototype Bounder MH, Mae Wests touring car, Teardrops. Loved seeing the older RVs, and how they've changed with the times! Library on second floor.. Took a glimpse of all "out of publication" RV magazines. Who... More

Since we are full time RVERS, we were looking forward to seeing this hall of fame. It was very educational to see the beginning of Camping modes. The exhibits had great detail and were in excellent condition. I was amazed that they first began in 1913. It is well worth the stop. Seniors it is $8.00 to get in. They... More
