My two sons enjoyed an afternoon here. While not a very big place, there are many activities to enjoy.
I took my son and my nephews the gift shop is really pricey. The activities weren't all that great they didn't grab the kids attention...although they did have fun with the mirrors. The second floor nothing is really hands on, and the first floor is small. The Activities on the first floor are really kind of boring!!! and finally the... More
Dear Kasey W., Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit to WonderLab. We're disappointed that we did not meet your expectations in general, but we're glad that the special exhibition, "Mirror Mysteries: Science of Reflection," was fun and educational for your family. Since you commented on the $7 general admission, I want to alert you to... More
My girlfriend and I took our boys ranging from ages 8-14 to WonderLab for a few hours of fun. There were so many fun and unique things to do there that we had to practically drag the boys away when it was time to leave. Everywhere you turned, they're was something else to see or do. We all enjoyed our... More

This place has many diverse activities that are perfect for ages 2-8. We spent hours exploring nature, physics, music, bubbles, mirrors and climbing. I would highly recommend this if you are in Bloomington, IN with little ones.
Dear renies77, Thank you for visiting WonderLab when you were in town! We know you have outstanding hands-on museums in St. Louis, which makes us appreciate your positive review even more. We hope to see you again when you are in Bloomington! More
great little place, totally worth it. miniature version of the children's museum in indy, but smaller and way less crowds.
Dear a b, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at WonderLab! We look forward to seeing you again. If you prefer a less crowded atmosphere, please check our website and/or Facebook page to see if we've posted a weekly "high visitation" alert for days when we know we're expecting large groups. Great place to visit with your kids or to just let them roam. Not a huge place in comparison to big city children's museums, but an easy 1-2 hours of hands on entertainment for most pre-teens.
Dear James S, Thank you for sharing your family's experiences visiting WonderLab! Because you live in the Bloomington "metro area" close to WonderLab, I want to bring to your attention that hundreds of local teens extend their involvement with WonderLab as teen volunteers when they feel they have outgrown the visitor experience. The WonderLab Volunteer Team ranges from middle schoolers... More
I would give three stars for the museum contents. Average in comparison with other similarly sized science museums. But I take away one because of the membership policy, and I agree with another reviewer here that was critical of it. Every museum we have belonged to offers a family membership to two adults and all dependent children living in the... More
Dear pablo s, Thank you for sharing your opinion about WonderLab. We regret that we didn't meet your expectations. With regard to the membership policy, we recognize that today's families may live in more than one household. Therefore, we allow you to choose a certain number of individuals in your family to name on the membership card regardless of where... More
I contacted the volunteer coordinator and they were very kind to accept me as a non-participant observer during their experimentation and discovery activity in which the young children attended. I was impressed by the activity, the way it was planned and conducted. I thought the children who were there were very lucky. I would definitely get a family membership and... More
Dear BillurC C, Thank you for your glowing review of WonderLab! We appreciate your perspective as an international visitor. Please know that we post "high visitation" alerts on our website and Facebook page when we know a large group is scheduled to be in the museum. Of course, it is harder to predict general attendance visitors. A basic rule of... More
Great place to take the grandkids! Lot's of creative play spaces. Water, music, bubbles, bugs...you name it...they experience it. Some of the volunteers are young, so watch your kids...the older children move through the spaces at high energy but the younger ones may need some help when outside the gated toddler areas.
Dear Abbey Inn and S... B, Thank you for sharing your positive experience with your grandchildren at WonderLab! We'd like to take this opportunity to highlight some information on the museum's website that parents and grandparents can use to help children explore and increase learning. Under the EXHIBITS tab, see the various exhibit areas listed in the menu to the... More
Being from Indy we have the huge Children's Museum so to us, this seemed small, but the quality and types of exhibits were very interactive and well maintained. They appear to be focused towards the younger but older kids can get something out of it too.
Dear 1TravlinFam, Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion about WonderLab! We appreciate your comment about the quality of WonderLab's science exhibits and the fact that they were in working order. We pay a lot of attention to such things. We look forward to serving your family again when you're back in Bloomington. More
