The BCT is my favorite place to see a show for so many reasons, the ticket prices are amazing (no extra handling fees), the location is ideal for pre or post show dinner and drinks, and the size of the theater provides an intimacy that can't be beat. Great shows I've seen here include the Indigo Girls, John Hiatt, Richard... More

The theater, though small, was great for an intimate concert. The only drawback that I found was in the seating. At the time of purchase, I assumed I was receiving a standard theater seat for show. I had purchased tickets with an "XX" listed as the row. Upon arriving at the theater, the usher could not find the seat, as... More

What a beautiful venue! We attended the Lotus Music Festival and this venue was used for several events. The inside is wonderful and the renovation did a spectacular job. It seats about 600 or so people and we had a great view from the balcony and from the main floor. Be sure to go to the upper floor, near the... More

We visit Bloomington every September for the Lotus Festival and always enjoy the shows at the BusChum. This is a really nice theater with excellent acoustics that hosts a huge variety of music and theater events throughout the year. Highly recommended as a place to hear great music across a wide variety of genres. I wish I lived closer so... More

This is a lovely venue, for some things. I am one of those people who are very glad it was saved for the street view and history and community (even if we do have to suffer the new name to memorialize the donor). But remember it is a restored dated building. It can feel awkward and crowded and sometimes hard... More

The theater is a must-see when in Bloomington. Such history and architecture. Musical productions, comedy festivals, nothing is out of bounds for this historical theater.

I love that this Grande Dame still stands and is used for theater productions. It's small, intimate, but maintains a simple elegance from the past. Ticket prices are very modest....so you can splurge a little at Blu Boy (the attached gourmet chocolate shop!)

Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Indiana Theater - or simply "the Indiana," as it is known to Bloomington residents - was built in 1922 as a silent movie house by Harry and Nova Vonderschmitt. In its early years, the theater had a pipe organ for movie accompaniment and bands played on the bandstand. It is said... More

The "Buzz-Chum" is a Bloomington icon. A truly unique, intimate venue for any occassion. I've been to memorial services, dance recitals, competitions, concerts, movies, you name it - my favorites were the Bollywood dancing, Duncan Shiek, Punch Brothers, too many to name. GO THERE do not hesitate.
