It is a nice state park but it needs to be cleaned up big time. Especially along the paths. Last time I was there trash was all over and the marshes and ponds other than the main fishing pond are full of garbage too.

Been here a number of times! Really pretty! Right on the Fox River! Nice to go there & just relax! Have a picnic or whatever! I really like it here! Well maintained! And they like to keep it that way! If you want to go someplace really nice, and you're in the area...go here!

We went to Silver Springs State Park for the afternoon. It is in the process of being rehabbed but is still a great place. The glass bottom boat ride is neat. There are beautiful trails. We rented kayaks for an hour long float. Saw alligators, turtles, and monkeys. Our 13 year old granddaughter had a blast! Well worth it!

This park is a great place to visit nature. The fishing is good if you know how to fish. The park gets alot of pressure, so the fish are very picky. As with most state run parks, under staffing and general disconcert for our natural resources as compared to other states, shines through. Don't get me wrong, this is a... More

The scene here is absolutely beautiful!! So many trees, the crick is beautiful. I had never seen a spring before, and that was neat and the water tasted great! It's a great experience.

Great hiking trails. We love it and the dogs love it. The path is not overly groomed, it's hilly in parts, and the scenery changes throughout the trail. Not too crowded.

Don't overlook this local gem. Enjoy nature or cast a line in the parks lake or the adjacent Fox River. Don't forget your picnic lunch but if you do refreshments are available.

We canoed from Yorkville to Silver Springs State Park last week. We had a lovely paddle along the Fox River and then enjoyed a nice picnic lunch at Silver Springs. They have a nice hiking trail along the river and other trails through the woods. We visit this part often and always enjoy nature there.

My husband and I went here in the fall and colors were amazing! I love taking pictures and some of my favorite photos were at this park! You can rent paddle boats and fish on two lakes. Has nice trails through the woods. I look forward to going back and maybe taking my dogs this time. They also have camping... More
