This temple is great if you are looking for a good background to your wedding photos or any photos in general. Looks specifically stunning when you are flying above the temple with those fountains around the dome, but not everyone can do that so lemme review my ground visit. Parking is available for limited amount of cars and is good... More

Every time I visit Chicago, I find time to come to Baha'i House of Worship. This place is amazing, as an architectural marvel and as a spiritual retreat, regardless of your religious beliefs. Make sure you walk down the stairs to the basement for video orientation.

Last time I was there the gardens were a mess, and in fairness this was probably due to the repair work on the building. 40 years ago this place was magic to me. Today, well I wouldn't miss it if it were torn down.

The Bahai Temple is a beautiful, welcoming place of contemplation. It is open to anyone regardless of religious belief. The single dome is cursively decorated with filagree integrating symbols from world religions. Nine gardens surround the dome, each different from the other. A lower level welcome center explains the site. It is unique and truly memorable and well worth your... More

Regardless of your religious preference, the Bahai House of Worship is worth a visit. The detail on the structure is remarkable. The grounds and fountains are well worth seeing. Enter by going down a flight of stairs to the visitors center. Take a short tour there. Take the elevator to the top to see the inside dome. Walk outside and... More

Never quite understood how/why this ended up in Wilmette, IL but being that Wilmette is as bland as it gets on the North Shore it's a welcome attraction.

Whenever I am in Chicago with people who are not from the area, one of the first places I take them is the Baha'i Temple. People are always amazed by its beauty and the people's openness. There is a visitor center you can go to in addition to the temple itself.

My relatives took me to this place, and I really enjoyed the visit! I am a Christian, and I got an opportunity to have a talk with one of the leaders. I do not agree with their theology, but I learned something new here.

The building is sparkling white. The grounds are not extensive and when we visited building work was in progress for the visitor centre. Chemical toilet cubicles were available, the best of the bunch were the larger proportioned ones. A Sunday service was on offer, with an Acapella choir, the sound of which, came through speakers. There was no sign of any... More
