If you've ever driven on Sheridan Road in Wilmette, you have marveled at the awesome sight of the beautiful white, domed building overlooking Lake Michigan, the Baha'i House of Worship. You can't miss it. It is arguably the most beautiful architectural structure this side of the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials in Washington, D.C. No exaggeration. Many people, because they aren't... This house of worship is amazing. The architecture is incredible. The peace in this place is nice. Worth a visit. Also is good to see the video explaining the Baha'i faith.

The Baha'i house of worship in Wilmette is one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen. The concrete contains pieces of quartz so the structure literally glistens. The grounds around the temple are immaculately manicured and a fantastic place to quietly stroll around and collect your thoughts. Yes, this place is a little bit of a hike if you're... More

This temple is a real place to pray quiet. I visited it with my friend the upstairs to have a pray and the downstairs where there is a museum about the story of the temple, year of building and progress in the years. We were impressed because there is a big Lemon plant inside the temple.

This magnificent temple is all white. The dome looks like like lace. The design and structure seems like something you might see in India. It is right across from Lake Michigan in Wilmette, the second suburb north of Chicago.

The outside of this temple is gorgeous, the inside - not so much. Entry is free but silence is required.

Next time you're in Chicago, it's worth taking the drive up Lake Shore Drive until it ends and turns into Sheridan Road. Keep following Sheridan road up to Wilmette. Along the way you'll see posh homes and picturesque views of Lake Michigan. After about 15 miles and 40 minutes, depending on traffic, you will be further rewarded with the magnificent... More

This temple is great if you are looking for a good background to your wedding photos or any photos in general. Looks specifically stunning when you are flying above the temple with those fountains around the dome, but not everyone can do that so lemme review my ground visit. Parking is available for limited amount of cars and is good... More

Every time I visit Chicago, I find time to come to Baha'i House of Worship. This place is amazing, as an architectural marvel and as a spiritual retreat, regardless of your religious beliefs. Make sure you walk down the stairs to the basement for video orientation.

Last time I was there the gardens were a mess, and in fairness this was probably due to the repair work on the building. 40 years ago this place was magic to me. Today, well I wouldn't miss it if it were torn down.
