I took my daughter to Volo during a Spring Break trip back in April. I had been wanting to see the museum since I saw a car they had at one of the over-the-highway rest areas on 294 in Chicago. First of all, the place is really big. You will need 2-3 hours to get through it, if you are... More

I was surprised at the cast collection they have at the Volo Museum. The museum is laid out across multiple buildings, each with a theme of sorts. And most of the cars are for sale! This place is a car enthusiast's heaven. Well worth a visit, but if you like classic cars, plan on being there for hours.

The Volo Auto Museum is a must-see attraction for those people (like me) who are into cars. There are old cars, muscle cars, a few old motorcycles and scooters, and many cars from TV and movies such as the Batmobile, General Lee (Dukes of Hazzard) and one from a 007 movie. There are five buildings of cars plus a few... More

If you are a car lover, you will be in 7th heaven here. There is such a great assortment of cars, that everyone in the family will find something that they'll like. Probably best known for its muscle cars that are on display, there are also plenty of antique and movie cars, as well. There are enough things for the... More

Took my 4 and 6 year old here and they had an amazing time looking at all the different vehicles. There are five different show rooms but the favorite was the Disney room. It had about 10 arcade type cars (50c) a ride though (we just took photos of the kids sitting in them! And numerous cars from different movies... More

A Disney showroom with lots of disney cars and celebrities old cars. Lots of American muscle. Pre WWII cars. Lots of movie cars. This place is amazing, stop by if you... More

Stopped while heading back home from Kenosha. Had family go here but had never came here myself. There are five buildings with cars with another being the military museum. I was amazed at the excellent condition of all the cars especially the ones for sale. The biggest highlight was seeing the movie cars such as the Delorean from Back to... More

I visited the Volo Auto Museum with my 3-year-old son and my mom. Not knowing what to expect beforehand, I can happily say that we were pleasantly surprised. What You Should Know: You’ll receive a map when you pay for your admission. Keep this! You’ll need it. When I think of a museum, it’s singular. One building. The vehicles at... More

PROS: plenty of cars to look at; abundant parking; close to nearby restaurants, the selection of cars has something for everybody- it reminds me of the Historic Auto Attraction Museum in Roscoe, IL.; the annual pass can be worth your while if you plan on returning 2 more times. CONS: if you are sensitive to the smell of automotive oil,... More
