Our reason for vacation in the area, my husband found this online and and had been wanting to come see all the tv and movie cars ( General Lee is his love) for sometime. It didn't disappoint, there were 5 buildings of cars to look at, even our boys ( 10 and 6) had fun. You can plan on spending... More

As a visitor to the States I was keen to see all the domestic vehicles. Fantastic collection covering many decades. Enjoyed the movie vehicles as well. I would like to see more of the specialist vehicles from the military. Trucks cranes and specialised wheeled or track vehicles. I have see some comments about more detail needed and agree but, the... I was stranded in Chicago due to two days of weather-related flight cancelations and really needed something fun to do. I had never heard of the museum, but after several "things to do in Chicago" searches on the Internet, I settled on the Volo Auto Museum. It didn't seem like much as I drove into the parking lot, but once... More

I went to the Volo Auto Museum 4 times in my life and I enjoyed it and the Blues Brothers car was fascinating and the antique cars are very interesting. I went there August 2011.

This is a museum of conflicting experiences. On one hand, it is a museum housing many amazing cars associated with film and celebrity. On the other hand, the "museum" is also an indoor car lot where you can find beautifully restored cars from the 1950s-1980s - all for sale. The entire experience was overwhelming to the senses. Each area of... More

Thank you for the 3 Star review, I appreciate the feedback about getting the history behind the cars. This is something we have been lacking but are working on this winter, hopefully having full back stories on all the Hollywood / Star Cars by Spring. More

We stopped here mainly because my husband wanted to stop and I think I had about as much fun as he did. I thought the war museum and the "movie cars" were pretty cool! It was just neat seeing all the different cars from different movies as well as some from famous people (Michael Jordan and Brittany Spears to name... More

Enjoyed a day at the museum. lots of cars for sale so it is more like a used classic auto store, but you get to see many different makes and years. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

They exceeded our expectations with this Auto Museum. They had so many cars from famous movies. The cars weren't just sitting there with a sign, they had a full backdrop with the characters in the movie and when possible they had a DVD loop playing the actual scene from the movie with the car in it. Plus they had a... More

We were looking for a day trip that wasn't too far away from where we live and not overly expensive to pay for. I remembered hearing about Volo on TV and thought it would be something interesting to check out. It was well worth the admission price of $13.50 (adults). They have four showrooms of cars, a military museum that... More
