This is my first time diving at Mermet and of the quarries I have been to, this one is tops. While the water isn't super clear today, the water has easy access and I love the way they have marked all the underwater items, including rope guidelines from item to item with signage telling you what you are heading for.... It's a great place to dive! There are lots of great features in the quarry including the plane from US Marshalls, a school bus, a motorcycle, a helicopter, many fish and deep dives.

Fun days are had at Mermet Springs! Rock to the music underwater while you swim the roped leads to the various underwater attractions, such as a school bus, the plane from US Marshalls (movie), a Cessna, motorcycle, ambulance, and so much more! Great times, and even snacks available. Learn to dive, or just discovery scuba and see if you like... More

Visited Mermet Springs as a detour to a wedding. It was the wife's first trip out since earning her C card. The facilities are excellent and the diving was top notch. We happened to be there on a Thursday and don't think there was more than 20 people diving. It never felt crowded in the water or in the prep... More

We came in during the week and scuba dived for two days. The staff was wonderful, friendly and always willing to help out. The facilities are well maintained, the visibility was good and we had a great time finding all of the items in the water. Bring your cold water gear, I can't remember my hands being so cold and... I did my check-off dives here this weekend, and it was a great spot! The staff is extremely helpful, and they take care of you here. Amp round to have their stamp as the first in my dive log!

This is a fantastic place to learn to dive and to keep up on diving skills. I'm serious about the rock and roll!!! They have speakers in the water playing some of my favorites. Glen and PJ run a first class business. They have several items at various depths for divers to seek out and explore. The staff and instructors... More

Diving in First Class is way more than just a cute tagline at Mermet Springs. This not only refers to the sunken 727 from the movie Air Marshalls, it also refers to the way in which divers are welcomed to one of the nicest dive destinations in the Midwest. As an Instructor, I am very cognizant of the safety features,... More
