We've been to several plays and art shows here, and it's a good venue for both theater and nice open lobby space for art shows or events. They're attracting more and more quality shows over the years.

They have two theaters here, and can present in both without disturbing either one. Plays are contemporary and performers are current. During January, if you do like political satire and current events satire, THE CAPITOL STEPS perform. Prepare to laugh. "Lirty Dies" is a trademark of their show and is hysterical. Show is geared towards adults, but teens may like... More

This is a very cozy, well run venue. I have seen several productions here. On our last outing, to see Menopause, both my whiskey drink and my wife's red wine were spoiled. The whiskey, supposedly Jack Daniels, tasted like the leavings of several different whiskeys mixed up together. The wine was old and going to vinegar. The nice barkeep tried... More

Close and free parking just outside the theater building. Clean and well maintained facility. The ushers and ticket takers were very eager to help and answer questions. We sat in the balcony and were satisfied, looked like you couldn't get a bad seat because theater isn't that big, medium sized. Sound volume and clarity was excellent. We were there to... More

There isn't a bad seat in the house, literally. SIte lines are all good and no seat is too, too far away from the stage. Very good acoustics. Adequate parking. Clean bathrooms. Elevator to 2nd level. Handicap accessible. They book good quality entertainment and the ticket prices are a fraction of what you would pay in downtown Chicago for a... More

The Northlight Theatre is one of two located in the building. It is basically a black box space. All of the seats have a good view though some can be a bit far to the right or left. so you kind of get a side view. I would certainly opt to get seats closer to center even if it means... More

I've seen a few Northlight Theatre shows here and they've all been great. Fine selection of plays and great actors. The seats are a bit cramped though.

Just saw another play at the Northlight and it was terrific. We have attended this theatre dozens of times over the years. For us, it is convenient, the parking is available and free, the sight lines are good from anywhere in the house, and the volunteer ushers are helpful.

My wife and I attended one of the North Shore Feature Series events in the Center Theatre. We had never been to this venue before, so I called the box office to ask a specific question about seating. We have a specific seating need, and the person I spoke with in the box office told me that if we booked... More

The Center has fabulous sight lines and acoustics in its 867-seat main theater. There is plenty of free partking, but the closer lots fill quickly. The calendar is diverse and worth checking out.
