This guided tour was awesome! We visited the log cabin and made homemade butter, applesauce and cornbread in a cast iron skillet. Don't forget to purchase the maple syrup, yummy.

Pleasant staff and beautiful grounds right in the middle of suburbia! Great for all seasons. We had several field trips there over the years and the programs are quite varied. Unfortunately you can still hear the traffic noise in all that tranquility.

We love the farm with the grandkids and the people are so friendly and helpful - they are farmer like but really like kids

We wanted to get out of our hotel for a while, so we this nature preserve was a great way to get the toddler energies out! Unfortunately mapquest gave us wrong directions and we ended up in a little condo area. However fortunately, after calling the nice lady at the nature center, we were able to get there without any... Spring Valley is a great nature sanctuary. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. However, take a walk through the farm house or education center. We found that to be really cool, too. Definitely worth checking out and the price is right.

Many paths, a working farm, and nature areas to enjoy. Kids and adult classes are available. It is tucked away and you feel like you are in the country. Many times during the year, they have special days that draw many people. It is educational and fun.

This treasure is part of the Schaumburg Park District offerings, that you can easily miss, due to its low profile and location. Tucked away near the municipal building, there are paths, a working farm, farm buildings and cottages and a treasure trove of plantings, trees and nature areas. Take a few hours from your busy schedule to walk the paths... More

Although the day was cold but luckily it didn't snow, this spring valley is like a lost horizon, makes you feel fresh far from the city atmosphere, it was fun to have walked for more than an hour peacefully, worthwhile for a visit

We were in town for a wedding, and were looking for something to do in the morning. We found Spring Valley on Tripadvisor, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful scenery, nature, history, and made walking fun. You can spend a few minutes to an entire day here. We would come here often if we lived in the area.
