Overall, the experience was awesome for the kids (4 and 6 years old) because of the great advice we received from our fellow tripees. My kids are looking forward to seeing Legoland again. The family got there around 9:15am and spent about almost 3 hours watching two entertaining 4D movies, taking 4 rides (1 of the gun was not working),... More

Started out slow due to their computer system being down. Some neat lego displays and a fun ride for kids. The 4D movie would have been great but the projector was broke so we only saw it in 2D. My biggest issues is the free play area where kids can build and race their own cars. There were dust bunnies... More

We went to Chicago for my graduation but planned one day for fun activities for my 9 year old son. Legoland Discovery was first activity of the day. We had a great time there, but there was way to many people to be able to get enjoy the whole place. We tried to do as many of the activities as... More

My son (age 7) loved Lego's. our planned trip to Chicago was mainly for his older sister (she was visiting the Museum of Science and Industry) and stopping at LEGOLAND was a way for him not to feel left out. There was no way anyone was feeling left out. Everyone in our family loved this place. The price for entrance... More

We went with 3 boys ages 6-9. They really enjoyed Legoland. It is pricey but worth doing at least once. I felt they had a good mix of activities to keep the kids entertained. My only complaints are the prices at the cafeteria. It was crazy what we paid for lunch. This is something they seriously need to review. The... More

Hi Kristy, Thanks for reviewing us on TripAdvisor! I'm so happy to hear that all three boys had a great visit at our center, that's what we're all about! I apologize for the trouble with our 4D Cinema during our trip, occasionally we have mechanical issues that arise during the day, but we always work hard to get them fixed... More

This is a fun smaller Legoland. Not sure f it would hold the attention long for kids over 10 unless they were really still into Legos. The few rides were fun but simple. My 2 children (5 & 8) had the most fun building and at the movie. A bit expensive for a half day, but a fun novel experience.

LEGOLAND is a great idea. However, many attractions simply did not work. The 4-D movie never focused for me, my wife or my son. (We don't have this problem at Disney or even our 3d TV at home). We finally figured out that by putting the glasses at the very tip of or noses that we could bear to keep... More

To start, one must understand that this is not a Legoland play park, like in California or Florida. It's a smaller version of those, but still worth a visit. We went with 4 kids, aged 3-11 and were there the whole day. Those looking for a high thrill ride might get bored, but if your kids enjoy Legos and you... More

We purchased tickets online through my employer, so I got a nice discount. We actually got there before they opened at 10, and they were letting people in early. This was mid week so I assume unless it's during the school year go early morning or late afternoon. It was easy to go exhibit to exhibit before 12, but that's... More

Hi Sara, I'm very happy to hear that your family enjoyed your visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Center - Chicago! As we get toward the end of the summer season, we typically see peak crowds right before school gets back in session which can make the center crowded during our busiest times of the day. We do open earlier during our... More

Only 3 main exhibits when we visited: a replica of downtown Chicago, a jungle and a Star Wars exhibit. Being both a Lego and Star Wars fan, all of this stuff was amazingly detailed and brought out the kid in me. However, that's about all they had on the first floor, other than a ride of which being an adult,... More
