I have been here three times now - once for meetings, once for a wedding, and once for a funeral luncheon just yesterday . The facilities are great for these things, anf the food is really pretty good. Standard buffet type things, but hot, fresh, and tasty. The gardens themselves are small and not terribly fascinating. One quick two minute... More

While on our visit to Rock Island we also visited this Botanical Center. There are many types of plants and trees. There was even a wedding the day my wife and I visited.

There is a small gift shop as you walk in and an information desk that will show you a map of the layout.. inside are banana trees, tropical ferns and plants, and a waterfall and ponds with Koi. Then you step outside into the gardens. Continuing around back is the kids gardens with a splash pond they can play in... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find this little oasis near the river. The garden area is not large, but very well tended. The new children's garden includes a water stream with lots of interactive activities appropriate for all ages. Oh, and it's fun to feed the fish!

We had been to the Quad City Botanical Center several years ago. We noted that they had just opened a children's garden last year, and thought we would check the place out again. Our grand-daughter was in school yesterday, so we headed over to see if the new children's section was suitable for a 4-year-old girl. The staff nicely allowed... More

This is a pretty garden. Good labels in the indoor part but outdoors not so much. The person at the door was a bit strange. Rather than anticipating I wanted to enter she asked why are you here? And then seemed confrontational about asking for the entry fee of $6. Now here attitude may be related to the high fee... More

I hadn't been to the Botanical Garden since elementary school so I should not have been surprised when the garden was smaller than I remembered. It really is a nice location, and the renovations to the outdoor gardens have more than doubled the walking spaces. The has a few interesting sections, but it all can still be covered in 15-20... The Botanical Center has a reasonable entrance fee of $6 for adults and is a pleasant place to spend an hour or two in Moline. You have to be still but we saw many butterflies (more bees so be careful). If you buy the fish food, keep in mind there are two pools of fish. Lots of interesting plants

Food here is excellent but only served when groups book special occasions such as wedding receptions, graduation parties, club meetings, and special events. Typically served buffet style, they can put on a great meal from $10 to $25 per persons depending on the menu. Staff is outstanding and the facility is a real treat to visit.

It was a great way to spend a cloudy afternoon! The indoor botanic garden was informative and hands on. The outdoor children's area was lovely! There was a hands on area to dig in the dirt, an area where the kids could take off their shoes and splash in a man made river, and some games they could play. Since... More
