This is a relatively new attraction in Pontiac, Illinois. Well presented automobiles, in very appropriate dioramas. Large collection of reference material for Pontiac and Oakland automobiles. Be sure to check out the model of the Odell Standard gas station built by Willem Bor of the Netherlands. This is a scratch built model, done from photographs.

This is a neat little place to stop in and see while driving on route 66. People that appreciate little museums and Pontiacs will enjoy this.

We arrived just as the lovely lady was opening up the museum. She welcomed us, talked to us about some of the cars and let us go on our way about the museum on our own. They've a great collection of Pontiacs and a fantastic little shop area. The town of Pontiac is sweet, you could spend a few hours... More

I am not really fond of museums, I find them stuffy and boring but this was an unexpected treat. Wonderful assortment of old cars, and loaded with information. The staff was friendly, informative and helpful. Definitely a recommended stop.

A great free museum of RV's and other travelling memorabilia. You can step inside some of them too. all under cover so you can visit rain or shine. Check out the new RV's in their dealership, you know the sort, twice the size of a double decker bus and usually pass you on the interstate doing 80mph.

When my husband was young, decades ago, he and his high school buddies spent most of their spare time rebuilding cars, cheap used cars that with a little TLC (and possibly an engine rebuild) could run to and from school, football, the corner milkshake bar. This museum was right up his alley - he dragged me from car to car,... More

Stopped in while visiting the GTO show in town. Lots of great displays and merchandise. My only complaint is that the GTO show staff was using the library room for judging so we could not enter this area during our visit. I recommend locating them somewhere else. It was a big disappointment to drive 75 minutes to miss the library... More

I was in Pontiac and my son and I decided to stop in the Pontiac (car) museum. It was awesome because through the years my family have had some Pontiac automobiles, so the museum addresses both the history buff and the sports car enthusiast- lots of cool memorabilia and cool sports cars

I am a huge fan of classic cars so it doesn't take much to get my attention when it comes to a car museum. They have about 15-20 cars at this indoor facility along with other memorabilia all centered around Pontiac automobiles. Plan to spend about 20-30 minutes if you take your time. The displays are nice with some getting... More
