We are glad that you stopped in even though cars are not really your thing. We try and make the museum a place that everyone will enjoy even if they are not Pontiac fanatics. The camping scene is also one of my favorites and we are very happy that it brought back good memories. Thank you for stopping in to... More

NIce and clean museum. It doesn't cost anything, unless you donate. It was very small, maybe 20 cars. It took about 10 minutes to walk through and see everything. The volunteer told me that the cars change every so often. I will have to stop in again the next time I'm in Pontiac.

We appreciate that you stopped in and visited our museum. We understand that we do not have the biggest facility, but this is what the budget currently allows us to have. In the space that the museum allows, we have focused on quality rather than quantity. Although, we have much more Pontiac memorabilia and vehicles than we can show, visitors... More

Tim and Penny Dye are gracious hosts. Have been at the museum about four times and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Tim tries to keep the museum as a work in progress and rotates cars in and out and changes up the displays. He's one of the foremost authorities on Poniacs ananda Oaklands. A must stop along IL Route66!

Excellent history and displays of Oakland and Pontiac automobiles. This is an excellent small museum and very well presented. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you love Pontiacs you will love this museum. This is one of several small museums in a great small town that you will want to spend a day or two to visit all... More

it was OK but the Pontiac car was made in Michigan not Illinois and the Indian chief was from nowhere near here either some nice cars but I don't get the association

We understand the mix-up with the name. However, Chief Pontiac has a rich history here in Illinois. The city of Pontiac and the Pontiac car are named after the Chief. What a lot of people don’t realize is that the very road, Route 66, that brings us many of our visitors, also has a Chief Pontiac Connection. Before the highway... More

It was smaller than I expected but what they did have was very nice. We went the weekend of the Pontiac Car Show which was a bonus!

Thank you for visiting our museum! We understand that the museum is on the smaller end of the scale, however, it is the size building that the budget currently allows. Our collection is much larger than the building can hold, but we try and rotate the cars and displays in order to make each experience exciting. The museum also offers... More

Another of the great museums not to be missed when in the Pontiac area. Owners are so nice. My husband and brother-in-law even got a ride in one of his antique cars. They are still drooling. :-)

Decided to visit Pontiac just for the heck of it and see the Route 66 museum/Livingston County War Museum and heard about this place. It's small but very nice more like Henry Ford Museum quality. The GTO's and pace cars were my favorite and the extensive collection of oil cans is pretty amazing. Quite a shame that such a storied... More
