Big time small town Zoo.

Very nice small town Zoo. They have done an excellent job redoing the old Glen Oak Zoo. Wonderful exhibit.

This is a wonderful place to take children of all ages. The zoo is very well orginized and clean. All employees are very helpful and informed on what is going on. The resturant in Africa has delicious food.

Great place for young and old. Exhibits are so true to the actual environment!! The animals are taken care of and live in a true habitat.

Nice little zoo. It certainly isn't as busy as some bigger zoos in St. Louis or Chicago, but there aren't as many animals either. It can easily be covered in a couple hours. Seems a little expensive for what they have, but they are dependent on thei number of visitors.

Nice little zoo. Animals were very active. I like their Australia section where you walk among wallabies, and get right up next to the emu pen. The Africa section is really cool. The giraffe feeding is a ripoff - $5 per person barely gets you anything, and they built the platform too high. Tropics building is neat. Like that they... More

I've been going to the Peoria Zoo (formerly the Glen Oak Zoo) for over 50 years, and it has certainly changed over the years! It used to be a bunch of tiny, concrete cages with glass or bars on the fronts. It has improved to become large, outdoor displays, where you can see many of the animals in a natural... More

We love the zoo! We have a membership and visit quite often. Well worth the membership fee and they have many free programs and presentations within the zoo once you pay admission or have a membership.

Well this is not going to be your Milwaukee, St Louis, Lincoln Park...you get the picture! But a fair price for a cozy little zoo that is easy to find, easy to walk through if you have infants and toddlers-we know they can get impatient! May take you an hour or two to have a good look around, maybe check... More

Our zoo has come a long way from where it used to be when I was a kid. Yes, the Africa part is nice and the Australian area is neat as well. However, that's about all there is in this zoo. They price does go up every year and nothing new seems to be added. I would suggest buying a... More
