We have been members since the early 90's when our kids were young and enrolled in various educational classes. Now that they are out of the house, we still enjoy the museum, and most recently have view all the 3D movies on the IMAX "big screen". If you are a student of history, then 3D D-Day Normandy 1944 is for... More

Was there for a special event. It was very nice and clean. I think it would be worth it sometime to go through the actual museum, but the movie experience was pretty awesome.

We took our kids ages 4, 10, 12 this weekend and had a really fun time. There was something for every age and interest level. We went through the dinosaur exhibit which had hands on activities to do, a show in the planetarium, a bubble demonstration done outside, and more fun in the IHSA room. That was probably our favorite... More

Nothing wrong with that but if you are looking for an Adult Museum this is not it. I saw 3D Normandy movie It was fair. The Planetarium was very entertaining and these attractions are the most adult things here. If you have young children this is the spot! Tons of interactive attractions that had kids squealing with delight. pitching machines,... More

The temporary Dinosaurs in Motion exhibit was fun, interesting, and sometimes beautiful, though small. It was the high point (and cost $5 extra). While the art display had a few interesting pieces, it was tiny and felt very random. Both the local history and the river exhibits relied on too many photos with text rather than artifacts. I was out... More

We wanted something new for the 4th of july so we tried this place out. It was a bit hectic at first but after everyone got their food, the crowd thinned out. Great activities and the view of the fireworks was best i have ever seen. We are looking forward to next year!

A blue star museum that supports the military and their families during the summer months. Excellent hands on experience for the kids

We love the Peoria Riverfront Museum, and purchased a family membership. There is a nice area for young children, and they also include items for younger children throughout the rest of the museum. My kids (4&5) easily spent an hour assembling and racing wooden cars and playing in the 'sand' area in the Streets of Peoria exhibit. I especially love... More

Maybe i'm used to better museums in bigger cities, but there was not much to even look at. The planetarium was prob my favourite place there. I enjoyed the show. Dinosaurs in motion was there but i feel like you can accomplish this place in thirty minutes. Just so small :(
