I was in the Southern Highlands provence for work and had the opportunity to send a bit of time on the lake and visiting nearby villages and schools.
The locals are extremely friends and happy to see you visit, as you can imagine for a place that sees very little tourism. We had a work collegue organise the boats, as his family lived on the lake. Very enjoyable day spent on the water.
Sights to see include the local villages, skull walls, floating island, middle rock. Just be wary of the afternoon rain.

The setting is very beautiful. The views from Tubo Lodge are amazing. They can organize tours for you and the food is very good. Unfortunately Tubo Lodge is run down and would need renovation and cleaning. I had problems to book the place, you can do so by calling Jessie, the manager, directly: 73157283 or 70298134

This remote lake really is at the end of the world. Rustic, simple, very quiet, great jungle trails, fantastic swimming.
