I didn't realize that I had only rated this site and not reviewed it; it is amazing and a museum not to be missed. There is something that appeals to everyone and it is delineated by age so that you can seek the age of your child and go directly to that area. But almost all of the areas are... More

Admission is per person, including adults, making this an expensive destination for families. The hands on exhibits are fun for little ones, but its often crowded which can make it a challenge for shy non-aggressive kids to get their turn in some of the more popular areas. My recommendation is to try and go with multiple kids per adult, that... More

We were only visiting the Naperville area, but we were told by many to visit the museum. Our 2 year old really enjoyed all of the hands on activities, especially the water section. They have rubber aprons for your kids to wear to keep their clothes dry, but bring a change of clothes and a towel just in case! Be... More

My 6 yr old still loves to come here. The parking is convenient (and free!) and the exhibits are so easy to navigate. There's a small "water exhibit" that I would highly recommend that if your child plays there-bring a change of clothes! We've tried the smocks they provide, and we have brought a rain coat but the problem is... More

There is not much bang for the buck here for kids over the age of first grade. While this location is colorful and mostly well-maintained, it doesn't offer much challenging. The water table and wind tunnel were fun, but the electricity exhibit was broken. There was a nice art room, but we have paper and paste at home. The math... More

Took our almost 3 yr old there. Only a few exhibits kept his attention span. Was pretty busy. Almost felt kind of run down in places. We stayed about an hour and that was it. For the $$, we will not be taking him there again. he would have had more fun walking around downtown shopping I think

We had a great time. We took our 2 year old grandson and he enjoyed all of the activities. They have a very nice cafe with healthy food option. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it got very crowded and difficult to move around.

We had a groupon and took a 2-year old. He loved it! Especially the water station and construction room. Some of the areas seemed too old for him, but that's what makes it great! It's good for all ages! They also had a nice cafe, where went for a snack. I liked that there was hand sanitizer everywhere and baby... More

This is my preferred children's museum. I like it much better than the others in the Chicagoland area. I came with my infant and my 6 year old and everywhere my toddler went, there was an infant friendly section which was excellent. The best part for my 6 year old was the wood workshop and the water section. I love... More

This "museum" seems like not much more than a large, expensive indoor play area. Parents hang around and chat with each other, texting and generally ignoring their kids. . .leaving the parents who are actually watching and interacting with their children to fret over who's splashing, running, and not sharing. Every time we've gone to the museum, we've seen little... More
