The John Deer Pavilion was easily the highlight of a recent trip out to the Quad Cities with my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. Both loved being able to climb up into full size combines, tractors, mowers, etc., and sit in the "drivers seat". These aren't partial models or replicas, but the actually equipment with stairs... First, this place is probably not for everyone. However, for our 2 year-old daughter with a love for lawnmowers, this place was heaven. It was free, which is a big plus too. She was able to climb all over combines and tractors galore. The adults had a good time too having never been on a farm or been able to... More

This is a wonderful place. We farm and we enjoy going there many times each year. The exhibits change and everything is nice and clean and easy to see and hands on. Best of all it's free!!

We had six adults in our party. We all enjoyed JDP. Just walking around and taking in the signs that explained the implements was great. Best of all, there was a couple visiting from Europe and they were given a special tour with a tour guide. The tour guide invited anyone interested in joining the tour. This person, a former... More

Wow, what a great place. It is free and there are lots of tractors/ earthmover machines. They allow kids to sit in many of them. The building is bright and there are great signs and information throughout. Employees were very helpful and friendly. There is a great big gift store full of clothes and toy tractors. I think my grandson... More

I am not a tractor kind of girl....or a construction girl...I'm not a John Deere girl. I don't like the color scheme and it is just too "boy" for me, but I am a mother of two boys and one of them is a HUGE fan of anything construction, tractor, farm and LOVES JOHN DEERE. So when we found this... More

Free and very interesting. You get to sit in most of the real tractors Etc. They have a history of the family and of the company. The best part was the computer simulators they had. You could drive a farm tractor for planting harvesting. One display had you operating a bucket loader.

This site was conveniently located right down on the waterfront. However, our 10-year old grandson wasn't very interested in it. Younger children might be more impressed, The men who, I think, were supposed to be talking abut the various equipment were just standing around doing nothing, so to get any information one had to read the signs. It was supposed... More

They had such a great time getting to sit in all the tractors and read about what exactly they all do. Perfect day trip for the kids, and we love that it is free!

All equipment was easy to get on and off of and the kid could play with all levers and buttons. Great for nonfarm kids to understand what goes into making their for and clothes.
