This is a place we love to visit every year, this was our best visit to date. We saw so many birds and the scenery and wild flowers were outstanding. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the facilities perfect. The good weather was a bonus!

When we go we usually spend the day, take a picnic or eat at the lovely cafe. Don't forget binoculars though there are lots of birds to see quite close from the hides, they vary depending on the time of year but great for lapwings, curlew, shelduck, swans, waders, reed buntings . . . Lots of wildflowers, great for bee... More

A great place to visit and view the local wildlife from the various hides. Peace and tranquillity yet so close to Conway town. the staff are very helpful and the coffee shop is well worth a visit as is the RSPB Shop.

There are plenty of hides to view the birds in the lakes and in the estuary. There is some information about the birds you are likely to see in the hides, though a little bit more information for amateurs like me eg size would help to identify them as some are very similar. It is a lovely place to wonder... More

Only a pleasant mile's walk from Llandudno Junction railway Station. You can start with cofffee in the cafe, while watching herons and egrets from the window, then go, as you'd expect to see the birds. Today we did something different and went to see the wild flowers! 62 varieties! We also saw birds but flowers were what we went for... More

I visited this site during the My Waitrose free entry promotion and was pleasantly surprised by the location and facilities. Although it is a smaller reserve than others there is a great variety of birds and wildlife to see. Walking through the reed beds is an enjoyable experience in itself and as you reach a hide or lookout each view... More

I'm not an RSPB member, to visit this reserve I paid £4 to enter, I would have paid more. Parking is free and plentiful. There are facilities, including a cafe. Many bird hides along the walls around the nature reserve site and you can take in a large swathe of the estuary, where lots of bird life can be found,... More

We stopped off here on our way home from anglesey and what a lovely time we had. Both boys (aged 2 and 4) had a brilliant time. The staff were lovely and the 4 year old loved the sticker bingo chart he had to wear around his neck and find all the items. He loved finding the people with binoculars... More
