The RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve is just off the A55 at Junction 18, the parking area is reasonably big but gets very busy at times especially when there are special events on at the Reserve. The Main Entrance also houses a Gift Shop and beyond there's a café and toilets as well as a picnic area. This part of the... More

Love the wildlife, fantastic cafe with beautiful view, amazing shop. The volunteer staff are always extremely helpful and you can spend half a day easily wondering around the sanctuary, could be combined with another sightseeing trip on a day out.

Friendly welcome. Great to see still offering good value rental of very good binoculars. Good hides around the estate; wonderful to see the wild conwy ponies. Great mixture of seabirds. Only downside is the carpark gets locked at 5pm.

Called in on our way to Llandudno and spent a good 4hrs here. The shop is well worth having a look around as we got some Christmas cards and presents here. We borrowed some binoculars costing £3 hire charge which we didn't think was to bad and they were better than the ones we had brought with us. Lots of... More

I went in here and had a look around the shop but hesitated to pay into the reserve as it was quite late and heard one of the staff clearly say to another in an insular sort of welsh way "did you see them steal anything yet?" No i will not be back

Not a birder myself but on a visit with very elderly parents-in-law. They were happily installed on a comfy sofa with a close up view of geese, grass, reeds and the margins of the River Conwy while we did a quick tour of the reserve. Helpful staff. The reserve has nothing flashy but a really good situation - just a... More

A lovely place to take young children. I often meet with other mums and toddlers here as there is a fun park, lots of sand to play in and dens and birds nests made from natural materials to encourage the children's imagination. There is also a lovely cafe with amazing views, and sometimes there are pond dipping activites which the... More

Had a great afternoon out at this nature reserve. There are lots of bird hides, boarded walkways and a great variety of birdlife. The noise from the main road is a little disconcerting and maybe lessens the relxing atmophere you would expect here, but we still enjoyed our walk. Nice cafe too with well priced food and a good RSPB... More
