Aside from their wellknown permanent collection, they have regular temporary events that are mostly very interesting. It's not a large museum and you can always find time to spend around 2 hours there.

The Singer Museum is advertising now with an exposition of Mondriaan & Mauve, but there is NO work of Mondriaan at all! This exposition is supposed to be from end of January till May 18th. 2014 do not waste your € 15,- entree fee as you only will see 6 reproductions of Piet Mondriaan. They have a nice collection of... No too large museum, alternating exhibits keep going there interesting. Also the village of Laren, in the old days an agricultural community, then a community of artists, is an interesting place. Just people watching in the summer when sitting on the terrace of Mauve is a wonderful and sometimes hilarious pass time.

When I visit the country of my birth, the Netherlands, I usually try and find time to visit this small, but important museum.
