Excellent course - playing really well at the moment but if its windy need to bring your A game. New green keeper has made a real positive difference. Subtle changes to the rough still means a penalty but not a lost ball. Even if the golf isn't going well the views from the course and club house are worth the... More

Less well known than some of its neighbors, Western Lanc is a tough test of golf with great variety of holes, great architecture, horrendous rough and other burdensome hazards. When windy, as we experienced, any ball slightly off line will drift into a lost ball or challenging recovery shot. Not for sissies, this one is very hard. But, very important... More

This was the venue for my nephews wedding, and what a venue, the views from the suite where fantastic the food and the staff where faultless and looked after everyone from start to the 1,o'clock Finnish , the decorations for the wedding were fantastic , the pictures for the married couple were second to none , and the sunset later... We had a 4 ball under reciprocal arrangement with our own club at Prestbury. West Lancs is a very traditional links. Course in excellent condition and very tricky when wind blows. Good food available after our round. Will definitely return

I recently attended a wedding at your venue with my partner and young daughter (19 months old). We had travelled down from Scotland for my Aunts wedding on Saturday. We forgot to bring Calpol for my daughter and she was teething really badly. My partner asked for directions to the nearest shop but was told a member of staff would... More

Loved it all, wind gave an extra chgallenge so really appreciated the points I managed to score. Catering staff weremost helpful, problem with hot food day we were there but they were most accomodating. Strongly recommend. Starter was extremely encouraging - a great asset.

An excellent evening all steaks cooked to perfection. Very nice event which seemed to be heavily oversubscribed. Keep up the good work.

Visited on 13th November in all but a gale. Everybody was very obliging and the course in great condition. Played as a four ball, all of us about 18 handicappers, and found the course tough ( especially given the wind) but fair. Great fun and will certainly play again. Food and service in the club house was grand and the... More

This is no easy course, which is probably why it has regularly been used for Open qualifiers and other professional championships. This course will test the very best golfers - and hackers like me!!

Some stunning views and really felt like a True Links. The rough was fair but when the wind blew it was a tough test of golf. Thoroughly enjoyed
