Cute lighthouse in sad repair

We were sad to see that the lighthouse built in 1913 was no longer being kept in repair. That being said, it is a lovely setting and worth stopping to see!

This was a nice outing - the park is great - lots of trails - and lots of peaceful places. Views from the park are wonderful and it appears they have great rentals for individuals and groups.

Marrowstone Point is not a true lighthouse, it is a light "station". It's a small, square building, sort of behind other buildings. It is located right at Fort Flagler, on Marrowstone Island but apparently is not part of the actual state park. You can get out to the light station but you have to walk out along the beach, which... Skip this area, there is absolutely nothing to see here except another angle of the sound. Skip this lighthouse, not much to look at except for people fishing on the shore and a few buildings with a light bulb on top of a small pole! We went out of our way to see this area and were incredibly disappointed when... More

This is on the point below Fort Flagler and is reached through the Fort. You can drive to the gate and walk around the outside of the fence but can not go in. The best views are from the east side, out by the water.

This low lighthouse is actually being used by the University of Washington as a research facility. The light runs by computer. If you are at Fort Flagler State Park, a quick look at the lighthouse is worthwhile. You can not go in the building, but you can take a picture.

Marrowstone Lighthouse is a small part of Fort Flagler State Park which I'm surprised doesn't have its own attraction listing. We took a few minutes and drove down to the lighthouse after exploring the rest of the park. Marrowstone is a nice little lighthouse even though I like the one at Fort Worden better, which can be seen from Fort... More
