Absolutely the worst day ever! I have been to this park 20 times or more over my lifetime. It seemed a lot more enjoyable about 10 years ago. Here are my gripes about the changes that have been made: 1. You have to pay $15 to park in the back parking lot, or you can pay $25 to park in... more

I grew up with this park. I am completely disappointed in our trip yesterday & have noticed the changes at the park over the years and chalked them up to economic changes , etc.... This is it ! I can honestly say that without some type of new extreme/ revamping of the management system , customer service training, fairness in... more

I decided to come to Great America after 5 years with my 5 and 2 year old. We went on a Friday with barely anyone in the park and a Saturday when the place was jammed packed. My overall impression is that Six Flags is now catering to those with more money. I am going to list things as I... more

I have gone to Great America my whole life and am 35 years old. I was very disturbed by the parking 15 for the back lot and 25 for the front. To me it is blatant discrimination as noticed the back lot seemed to be mostly minorities and packed while the white people parked in the front and the lot... more

We took our family, with teenagers, to Great America for the first time in July. They loved it. My husband and I were going to go to some shows but didn't have time because of all the rides to try and the water park. The day was quite warm and sunny and the water park beckoned us early afternoon. The... more

I'll agree that Great America just isn't what it used to be. Part of this is probably that I'm older. I think it's probably a great place for older kids & teens, as well as young children, since there are plenty of attractions like Wiggles World and Looney Tunes National Park. The lines are long and food is overpriced. I'll... more

SG Great America is the my home park. Meaning near me. I do love the park but some stuff are a bit extreme. The Good Side: Water Park, landscape, unique rollercoaster, semi-theme rides, close to Chicago & Milwaukee Downside: Cost, which includes "free water-park", restaurants need a bit of upgrade, and parking option. As rumors are flying there will be... more

My family goes to Great America every summer with passes my children earn from their reading incentive program at school. Every year I am amazed at how much money we spend even though we pay nothing to enter the park. Oh that's right, there's parking. Something new this year (and extremely ridiculous) - parking in the back lot ($15) or... more

My kids & I spent a Monday in July at Six Flags Great America. The crowd wasn't too bad, and most of the lines were a farily short wait (15min or less). The two rides with longer lines were Superman and the new Dark Knight coaster. We decided to try the Dark Knight. From the time we got in line... more

My daughter wanted to go to Great America for the first time on her 6th b-day. So we packed up and went. Aside from construction the entire trip to the park, it took at least 1/2 hour to get into the park because you have to pay $15-$25 to park in their cruddy parking lot. By cruddy I mean it... more
