Visited in early December. Was just myself and my mom. Our tour was led by the "maid." Lots of great info about the origins of the house and its role in Galena's history. My only thought going through the main floor room was if seemed very cluttered, not quite the Masterpiece set I was expecting. Mansion also serves as a... More

We did the "Candlelight Splendor" Tour this past Friday night. The tours are from 5-7 and $10 per person. I have mixed feelings about this tour....the "Butler" played the part and acted as if we were truly in the 1800's. It was interesting to proceed with the tour this way. He had acted as if we had arrived to go... More

This home is beautiful! The tour is given by the "Ryan's Butler" and is done as though we are at the home while the Ryan's are living there. You are allowed to take pictures and look around all of the rooms on the tour. Once upstairs, the tour is taken over by the "maid" who is dressed in traditional clothing... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour of the Ryan Mansion. Our tour was led by young woman who was dressed in 1880s attire. The fun thing about the tour was that she talked as if we were back in the 1880s and were arriving at the house for a party! It was just really neat to be whisked... More

Guides made it fun by treating the tour as guests to a ball given by the Ryan's. All pieces are authentic to the era; the rooms are also available to rent as part of bed and breakfast and are functional as well as beautifu.

Not your usual tour! We were greeted by the "maid" of this Victorian mansion and we had apparently been invited to attend the ball given for the young lady of the house who was turning 16. We became a part of history as we toured the house and learned many interesting things about Victorian life. The house was amazing by... More

2 couples went on the Ryan Mansion Candlelight Tour on Friday, January 27th. We were the only ones on the tour, beginning our tour by ringing the doorbell and being greeted by the 'Butler'. The butler did a great job of explaining calling cards and just the overall excitement that would have been felt in the home as the preparations... More

First impression was outside was not kept in good repair. Although we were there in November, the grounds seemed not to be taken care off. Overgrown weeds, etc. The tour was interesting and the guides were good. They knew the history well and states in character. Tour seemed sort for the $50 plus price tag. We toured with another family... More

We paid for a tour of the Ryan Mansion for two it totaled $21.50.I did not time the tour but it may have lasted 15-20 minutes and we really did not get to see the entire mansion as they are restoring some of it .It also serves as a bed and breakfast which we did see one room that is... More
