Buses woods has so much to offer for anyone that likes the outdoors. Whether it's taking a walk or riding your bike, picnics or barbecue you have it all. Do you like fishing? It's there as well. Miles and miles of paved paths going thru meadows or forest, you'll find it all. Don't forget to visit the Elk area. A... More

Nice trail used by many walkers and bike riders. Be prepared to share the trail. Many connecting trails and plenty of easy parking options. From open fields to heavy woods you can bike and hike on the warmest of days and still find some shade to rest in. The trail has a great view of the Elk which are in... More

I have been coming here for years. Miles of trails, and now that they have the bridges across Higgins it makes it much safer to access all the trails on both sides. If you want to walk, ride and bike, skate board, roller skate, the list goes on. Busse Trails is the place! Trails are wide enough to keep everyone... More

I lived in AH for 24 years growing up and occasionally went to Busse depending on what I wanted to do. Busse has lots of space from the lake to paved bicycle/walking trails to some dirt trails. And don't forget the small elk herd. One of the best forest preserves in the NW burbs. Deer Grove is my favorite though... More

The way the trails are designed, it feel like miles and miles of open space. It is easily accessible because it is next to major highways.

Went here with my Sisters from Connectitcut It was very picturesque and beautiful. The Elk were in the distance but there were around six that we could see. Definitely worth a longer exploration

Biking, walking, running, jogging, hiking, bird watching, fishing, boating, picnics...the only thing missing is a manufactured playground! But you don't need that if you have a natural playground!

I can pick up this trail not far from my house and complete a 17 mile loop on a bicycle. It is a combination of field and woodland with a water area in the center. It IS urban however, visited and used by many. I feel more comfortable riding with a partner and certainly with my cellphone. It is also... More

We only got to see just a very small portion of this local gem. I was in town for a conference which little time for sight seeing. We did get to enjoy a section of the area before heading over to Elk Grove Village for some shopping and dining. I would come back to the area in the future just... More

A great place to bike, run, rollerblade, but beware, weekends are very crowded! I use this trail 4-5 times a week and during the week it is great. On weekends there are many parents and people who don't watch their kids or are walking on the wrong side of the trail. Best trail in the northwest suburbs, but watch out... More
