Best zoo in central illinois. Way better than springfield zoo for sure. They are always clean, friendly and adding new animals and exhibits. Good place to take the kids.

For a town the size of Decatur this is a wonderful zoo! It has AZA accreditation. It is in a lovely location with picnicking and a very nice playground...Children's Museum is close by too. This is a true gem of a zoo and an asset to Decatur! They also offer activities for children and have Boo at the Zoo for... More

Definitely a cute little zoo. Lots of exhibits to see with the Penguins being one of our top favorites. The prices are great and worth the experience. My son loves this zoo and the extra perks are the train rides, carousal rides and the park outside the zoo.

Train, carrousel, pony rides, petting zoo, nice playground. As an adult, I covered it in less than a half hour because i didn't linger at each cage. Very pleasant grounds, nice assortment of animals.

I did not had great expectations, but this zoo is good for entertaining you for couple of hrs. We reached at 1.30 and came out at around 4. They have large play ground, carousel rider. train ride for fee. All the animals were healthy and i did enjoy the variety. Good for small cities

A small community zoo that is very clean and educational. The zoo employees teach the kids about the animals and if your not careful as the adult you will get as excited as the children are!

This is a small zoo. Very nice for being little. Nice way to pass the time without the hassle of big city zoos. Nice exhibits. Plus don't forget to use the playground on the zoo grounds. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy your day.

This is a beautiful small zoo- a perfect size for younger children. Lots of animals wandering around the zoo grounds gives it a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. There is a small train and a nice play area. The grounds are pretty and well kept. A nice outing!
