Nice zoo to walk around. Not a whole lot of animals but it's still enough to kill a few hours with the kids. Fairly priced to get in.

They have more animals than Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, and no crowds or waits in line. You are able to get closer to the animals and the zoo is the perfect size not to small and not to big. Perfect for families with smaller children.

Yes some crucial, typical zoo animals are missing, but it's still a good time for all ages. Less expensive than other zoos. Worth a visit if you're in the area with your family.

We went on a Thursday (July 31st) and it was not crowded at all. Admission is not bad, Adults $8.25, children 3-12 $6.25, Seniors $7.25 and kids 2 and under are free. Parking is free. Takes about 3 hours to go through. Not a real large type of zoo. The Giraffe feeding was kind of a joke....... the line was... More

Those expecting a zoo like you would find in a major metropolitan area would be disappointed with the Niabi Zoo. As a resident of the area who had not been to Niabi for perhaps five years,I was thrilled with what I saw when I took my three year old granddaughter there recently. The grounds were well cared for with attractive planted... I've taken my two children - 4 and 6 - to a lot of zoos in the midwest, but none was as good of an all around package for their age than the Niabi Zoo. First, the admission for an adult and two kids was very reasonable ($20, I believe), and the charges for additional activities (Train Ride, Pony Ride,... More

We are from out of town and decided to visit the zoo on a Sunday morning. The Zoo itself was alright. Average sized, but there were a lot of animals that were not in their cages or missing all together! One thing that really bothered me is following their directions online got us lost. They have a detour because of... More

This is our second visit to the zoo and it was great. We got there right when it opened it was a great day to walk around as it wasn't hot or crowded. The elephants were not out, so that was a bummer and they were cleaning the lion's pool so we couldn't see the lions (we could hear them... More

We refer to this as "the beginner zoo." It only takes an hour or two to walk through...great for little ones. Since I was little my family has made it a yearly tradition to visit the zoo. It's a little expensive for a small zoo, but it's worth the extra money as they are continuing to update it and bring... More

We were gifted three free passes for visiting the zoo that my parents won at a 4-H raffle. Upon arrival, we were inform that they no longer accept "these" passes. There was no expiration date on the passes. The manager simply stated they no longer accept these, period. Horrible PR. Sad to say that this local business no longer supports... More
