This firm popped up when looking for 'Things to do in Chicago'. I didn't read the reviews here and as it was a few minute walk from my hotel decided to wander over to the booking office to talk to them. Well, 20 mins later I still hadn't found the booking office, despite wandering around the building they were allegedly... More

We took the 4 hour tour which was split into 2 x 2 hour tours of North and south Chicago. Our guide was very informative and interesting. The only downside was that we booked online and paid for our tour a couple of weeks prior and were asked to call/ email 48 hours in advance if we wanted to be... More

Great, great tour. Pat and Paul we're fabulous, Pat navigated the streets with enviable and awe inspiring skill while Paul kept us entertained with his knowledge and humor. Highlights of the tour were President Obama's home, the Robie House and the Rockefeller Chapel on the campus of the University of Chicago.

I would recommend avoiding the Palmer House Hilton location for getting your tours. We bought the Go pass and showed up at 9am when they opened. The grey line lady showed up at 9 kicked us out of the store and told us we were supposed to line up outside of the store. When we tried to ask about the... More

Hello, We are sorry about the experience mentioned above. I understand that you felt as if you were being "kicked out," however, it is the policy of the gift shop due to the volume of customers that arrive that they must line up outside of the store for safety reasons associated with high occupancy. We apologize for any inconvenience this... More

Recently I traveled along with my Family to Chicago in May/2015. The experience is horrible. The wait time of the buses are around 2 hours. when we called the customer care they mostly kept on hold without giving proper response. During the rainy day services were stopped by 3.00 PM only. few people with less buses. I would not recommend... More

We enjoyed this tour and Leon, gave us an extra treat of singing on the tour! I think the tour encompassed most everything we wanted to see in the short time we had in Chicago.

We did the Gray Line Hop on/ Hop off tour, so we could stop at the attractions that we wanted to see the most. The only bad part was the waiting around times. Getting from the starting point to the end point took a long time. It took a big chunk out of our day and tired us out. On... More

THis tour was excellent. THe guide pointed out all the sights. THe driver did a great job, too. I was I could remember their names. It was extra special to hop out at U of C Rockefella memorial and at 31st beach. A really nice touch playing Jim Croce's Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown on the way down to the south... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
